One of my son child hood friends got hooked on the hard drugs. He was ask why he always work the low paying jobs in "Food Service"?
He said no drug test,

I even went so far as buying a bird ID book.
In addition to why is every light in the house on add "turn down that crap you call music."
The trick is to throw it out when they are not home and if they actually miss it someday act appalled that they lost it!!
I had two 2" thick professional grade cutting boards. The wife tossed them out because they were going to poison her, and replaced them with plastic. A couple years later she read on the net that wood is healthier than plastic, she knew that I was wrong until then. She tossed the plastic and, not wanting to spend the money, replaced the plastic with 1/2" wood. The wife is always right.
