This might actually be good, if you used Italian sausage or meatballs. Although I don't know how boiled sausage or meatballs would taste. Boiled meatballs sound icky, but the sausage - maybe not bad. It would certainly be unique! It would foil my wife though - she likes to roll her spaghetti around her fork. Me, I just cut it into bite sized strands. Which I get laughed at for doing, since it's not the traditional way.

My friend make meatballs from ground beef and ground bear. They were really good.
He's Italian and his Mom taught him to cook so he makes everything from scratch right down to all the pasta.

Yah... Been there, Tried that. After the '9-12 minutes' of boiling- All you end up with is spaghetti with chunks of salty Lincoln-Log.
