London loves RICH TOURISTS, England welcomes vistitors.
When I vacation in England, I will be looking for Silent Earths house... any suggestions on a good house warming gift that would not be difficult to bring into England, thats not easily purchased there? ;)

FYI my US chums planning a visit, Consider using the Premier inn chain or the Days inn chain of hotels, well sited, consistantly clean always with a good resteraunt close by, affordable etc. Expect to pay $50 to 110% a night PER ROOM which will sleep three on average. Dont expect decent coffee in the UK though

That my friend is Whitby Abby where a certain Count Vladislav Dracula first arrived in England, as written by Bram Stoker who wrote the story in Whitby. The Inside of the Minster is even better.

If you come you must drop in for a drink

I would love to have a pint and some fish and chips with you one of these days! I would come sooner but have to figure out what to do with our dog. My wife won’t let her out of her sight for five minutes, much less a week! She would leave the kids with a sitter in a heartbeat, but not this dog.... he’ll, she’ll leave me before the dog....
Hopefully I can talk her into letting the kids watch her.

Sir, if you and your wife do not call to visit us and stop for tea you will have an enemy for life. When we visited KS / OK / NM and CO no one in the survivalist community would let us pass without welcoming us into their homes for a meal. I am honour bound to extend that offer to any of my friends on DPF.

I know most here appreciate their annonimety and privacy, but consider yourself welcome here as well!

Dont forget guys NO GUNS in your luggage. get a tac flashlight with serrated bezel and a Multi Tool as PDW, or a walking stick
I have to admit that I’m not thrilled of the idea of not being able to carry when traveling. Yes there are other ways to protect yourself, but not much is better than pointing a loaded barrel.

If anyone wants to see one of the most Historic cities in the US and eat the best food, Come visit New Orleans and I will be your tour guide. And I might even show you my top secret location that only 145 people know about.

I want to try Cajun food just once.

We used to have a hunting, fishing camp on the bayou before Katrina wiped it out. We had yankees visit us there on many occations and never had cajun food before, they would tell us that they dont eat nothing like that. Then they would try it and they would lick there fingers, there plate and the table cloth clean, then fight over what was left in the pot.

Why do you Britt's keep supporting the royal inbreads? They all seem like a waste of skin to me. Bette yet, when are your muzlim guests going to become part of the royal family?

Agreed! This got completely off the wedding but really stirred up the travel bug in me. My newly issued passports don’t even have a first stamp on them!

Again my friends I cannot point out strongly enough LONDON is NOT England, You wil not get value for money, you wont be treated as friends, the place is full of foreigners who HATE Americans INCLUDING the F**King Mayor of London. I think both Sally and Paul will agree with me on this. You will have far more fun and gain much better memories by avoiding London.
