I think it was the Catholic faith the founding fathers did not want in the new republic as they saw it as a problematic faith. As our nation grew so did the calls for more leniency to other faiths. This led to the eventual thumbs up to Catholic, Muslim, Islamic, and other faiths as well as Voodoo, Santa Marta, and of course Satanic.

This used to be mostly a Christian nation. I don't know what happened, and why many left the faith. Plus, they imported many people who hold those different beliefs.

Just have faith in God to do the right thing for you. Pray to God telling him the others are doing evil deeds and to protect you from their deeds. Have faith and trust God. I had an experience where some people I knew were spreading lies about me. I told God that the people are bearing false witness against me and I turn it over to you. Your power and wisdom is so much greater than mine. Please take care of this. Less than 24 hours and the ones responsible where dealt with! Other people knew they were lying and made them tell the truth!

The judge basically called them liars and greedy - but I want them out of my life.

That was it.

I knew beforehand that the house was for teenage girls to go to get religion. There was a janitor who worked there that was not mentally right and he would molest the girls, so he was tossed into an insane asylum in Clarinda, Iowa.

The biggest obstacle between God and our receiving his blessings, is us. Humans have a very hard time getting out of our own way and receiving the gifts he has to offer.

I think it was Jazzy who posted this first, but it affected me deeply. I will never forget it, and it bears repeating.

We are quick to ask God for help or assistance, but slow to thank Him for what he has provided.

There are people who believe without question and people who deny without evidence. Both are closed minded people. A true believer, and investigator, should be a skeptical person gathering all the evidence as possible and trying to debunk or disprove any event. Being able to "recreate" an event is not always disproving. Therefore trying to prove an event is not turning evidence into proof. The evidence will prove it's self one way or the other. True deniers will disbelieve until they have their own jaw dropping pants filling encounter(s). Non skeptical believers think every sound in the middle of the night is paranormal. This can led to paranoia and totally unwarranted actions. Keep an open mind and look, think for yourself.

I believe in God, I just have a hard time with evil happening. I always ask God and I always pray. I have seen some indisputable answers. I love the beauty of God and of Holiness. My answers will come.

How do you keep politics and especially religion out of a topic like this? I have avoided a couple of posts to avoid anything that could possibly be construed as political. Some people seem to be over sensitive in their definitions.

In my opinion, discussing relationships in a family, lawyers, etc. might be better suited for this thread topic if there was actual proof of actions that indicated that weird things were occurring to the person posting or things she/he had seen or experienced. I am not going to give examples of what that could be, use your imagination.
That is what this moderator is referring to. This person has spoken about the bad relationship and bad juju between him/herself and the evil sisters multiple times in other threads. It doesn't bear repeating in a paranormal thread.

Yes I think that religion is entangled with the "Paranormal" as it's all to do with the spiritual.

It's easier to believe the earth and its inhabitants are part of trillion year long alien science experiment or that woodland nymphs created us through selective breeding than nothing somehow randomly exploded into nothing from nothing in an empty void of nothing and accidentally created everything that exists in the universe. That's goes way beyond any kind of logical comprehension or belief in a super deity. I think I would select scientology before I went with the big bang theory, at least scientology has some semblance of possibility to it.

I have lived a long life and in all that time I have seen no evidence of any kind of invisible omnipotent superbeing, religion was invented by human beings to keep the peasants under control, as for the big bang it has been proved by science- not scientology which I have no truck with either. I am a pagan because of religious indoctrination growing up and adhere to no religion because of that indoctrination.

I agree, paranormal isn't about just spirits and spirit hunting. There are many aspects of the term. Twin siblings knowing what each other are doing while miles apart. Past lives intruding on present life. Ancient civilizations, we're finding more and more not knowing who they were or where they went. Some seeming more advanced than we are. Here in Nevada skeletons of people 8-10 feet tall with red hair found in a cave. Caves in the Grand Canyon that supposedly held riches and items from other civilizations from around the globe. Yes, there are plenty of paranormal avenues to discover and investigate.

Just for the record, I am totally cool with your beliefs or lack of beliefs or if people want to pray to a flying spaghetti monster or a chicken McNugget. But the big bang has never been anything but a theory, from day one to today. The "big bang theory" is part of a wide theoretical framework known as the standard model of cosmology, which incorporates dark matter and dark energy. While somewhat successful in explaining many observations and the potential to explain more, modern science still considers it to be a theoretical construct.

Like I said before, I don't have enough faith or imagination to be an atheist or a pagan. I also don't belong to a single forum, regarding any topic of discussion, where faith or politics don't come in to play. It even comes up on the Mopar Forum.

I am not a fan of main stream science because they keep their heads buried until the proof is so overwhelming they have no other choice but to concede. Should anyone go against their view points they are "nut jobs", "non scientific" and don't have their aluminum hats on straight. And as far as I'm concerned. God created the Hemi!

No one has been in there since Friday, and the man who is now the ghost always wore a lot of cologne (so say folks who knew him)! I have often times smelled cologne when I knew he was around! Oh, I just realized that I never mentioned that the in-laws have been turning on the Christmas/Mardi-gras tree lights every few nights since mid-December?
...Never during the day, only at night.
Even if we go and turn them off, they will turn them back on.
Both of us knew who was doing that, so no biggie.

Okay. This one really has me believing in what should not be possible. A dear friend in NY was going in for a heart valve replacement. We were in real time on the phone (I'm in Australia) and it was a coincidence that the TV's were both on Discovery Australia...it was all about jumping spiders. He was cognisant of the opration being risky so said he wanted to come back as a jumping spider. Two days later...there I was...sitting on the Thronemaster 2000 and...right across from me...on the rim of the sink...landed a jumping spider from out of nowhere. I never saw one in the house before. it was looking at me...doing pushups...leaning from side to side. I got straight to the phone...got his girlfriend on her mobile...she was crying...at the hospital. He just died...she just got the news. They could not get his heart restarted. Now someone...anyone tell me...this is just a coincidence.

Is there a smell associated with it? What color mass? Any feelings to go with it? Spirits (not ghosts they don't like ghost) are energy. They expel energy in their actions and need energy like we need food. I believe they draw energy from any source they can such as batteries, many investigators have equipment failure due to premature battery drain, way premature. I feel they also draw it from us and certain emotions are better than others energy wise. Love and hate seem to be the top end, many levels of each, positive, negative and associated with good and bad, Holy and Satanic. It would appear My theory on The Magnetosphere comes in as it seems to store intense emotion such as battles. Perhaps there is a high energy level in lesser residuals such as a car wrecks and others to be replayed as conditions allow. Spirits needing negative energy will do what? Try to scare you of course! That tingling sensation we feel is energy! Same with deep love, all agog in love emits energy as well.

Have you ever learned how to "feed" a spirit?

I have periods of knowing what is about to happen. It doesn't always work only sporadic occurrences. More so if it has to do with people I really care about. I would love to have a sit down with sasquatch or some aliens (extraterrestrial or interdimensional). I bet they all come here for our produce and sea food. I think I might pass on the dragon, but pictures would be nice. I've been told that spirits can "taste" the food being eaten at a meal as well as the drinks. Pearl, Don might like a cookie or 2. Break them up a little at a time. Every break is a release of energy. Don't pour a whole glass of drink, just a little at a time. If I ever investigate a cemetery again I'll take some toys for the young and some whiskey for the men. Milk and cookies of course or maybe sweet tea.

All you need to feed is the memory of the food and the knowledge of how to raise your toxic energies and wrap it in that memory. My folks love pizza and beer. the two girls are into milk and pie.
Most people can't use that vibration of energy anyway, hence the name "toxic." Spirits love it, though! Give a wall whacker a burger and fries and watch him go nuts!
