That ratchet is set up only for left turns, a right turn is going to require you to switch the ratchet to the other direction.
I'm thinking my dad using vice-grip pliers was a better idea. I will never forget that black Studebaker. You could watch the street go by through the floor and the auxiliary gas heater kept the car warm all winter in Spokane. Mom had to use both hands to shift the transmission.

Thank you. She is the spitting image for her Mom, and just as feisty.
I like to put on the full uniform when boys come around. I also like to joke about how easy it is for people to disappear without a trace, especially when you have a lot of law enforcement training & knowledge.
She will be out of the house next fall, then I have 3 more girls to go.

The picture looks like it's a motor home or bus or truck of some type.
It sits pretty high and the steering column is between the accelerate and the break pedal.

Me!! My jeep has 2 keys.
I remember those days. I always tried the wrong key first to lock the glove box.
My friend had a pick up that needed no keys way back in the 60s. You did need a screwdriver so he left it on the dash.

I'm thinking that the floorboard is loose, and I need some iced tea. And combined with the photo above, better get to the basement.
The wife and one of my bikes both won spots in a regional bike calendar this year so she got to model on my bike. Some photos I took with my phone during the shoot.
Whew, it's good to know I'm not the only one that lives/lived in an estrogen filled environment.
I'm still not sure I survived, lol.
