My friend is having bad luck again. He & his gf & daughter have been keeping the house clean but the next door neighbors are filthy and roaches are invading. A roach climbed in his daughter's ear. The gf managed to get it out, but the kid is freaked out by it. So I got them a bunch of different roach killers.

His windshield cracked all the way across (he doesn't know how, he came out and found it cracked) and its $350 to get it replaced.

His car insurance decided to screw him over bc they rejected his payment method (auto-pay) on the say his premiums were due. Same day within minutes of getting the notice he made a payment that cleared. But the jerks claimed that the payment was "late" despite the fact it was on the due date. They didn't process it until the next day (it was before 3pm) and claimed his insurance had lapsed. This went to DMV and they are fining him $700. I told him to explain at the DMV what happened and that he paid on the due date to see if they will drop it, but they probably won't. Still worth trying though.

The range he got in 2020 (samsung brand) is dying and they don't sell replacement parts. Only half of a burner is working now.

On the upside, a Hisense range was on sale at Lowes, but it was $830 with tax.

My guts were hating on me all day long but are finally seeming to be ok.

My samsclub curbside order was supposed to be ready between 11am to 12pm. I kept checking status. 11- pending. 11:30- pending. 12pm- pending. 12:30- pending. 1pm- pending. 1:10- ready. Then Mom was stuck in the bathroom for another hour. We finally got out the door but she sent me back in to look for her glasses but I couldn't find them.

Went to get the curbside order and the tp was missing. Apparently it had been put on the cart but someone stole it so the associate had to go back into the store and go all the way to the back to get another one.

I banged my shins and knees on stuff (not sure what) and have some bruises.

Now I'm tired but my brain isn't wanting to let me wind down and I'm late taking my nighttime meds.

Havasu, I hate when someone replies to a thread and you think they might have something to actually contribute but then it turns out they are spamming.

If I ever post youtube videos that are not allowed, let me know.

I have a deep loathing for whoever came up with the idea of flathead set screws. Itty bitty flathead set screws on the bottom of the posts-- so small you can't see the groove to try to line up the screwdriver and just have to guess at it.

Now I'm at the point where I need to clean up and organize but I have no earthly clue where to put everything.

I don't miss having to deal with bots & spammers as an admin. I can't remember the name of the site anymore, but I used to run forums that were getting hit with some kind of Chinese malware that allowed users to mass post to over a thousand sites at the same time and trying to get rid of the spam was a royal pain.

I also am getting brainblock/freeze trying to figure out how to proceed on decluttering my bathroom and where to put stuff. I know I need to pick a spot and start picking stuff up. I already emptied the wastebasket.

One of the reasons my house is such a cluttered mess is because I get overwhelmed and can't figure out what to do with stuff.

LOL. I did actually do that (before reading your message).

I touched my hair to get it out of my face while I had caulk on my hands and my hair fell against the caulk tube. Plus that thing kept dripping and drizzling all over the place. I was cursing up a storm as it was going all over the place after I stopped squeezing and the no drip thing was supposed to kick in. Good thing I covered my tub spout with tape.

At least the stuff came out of my hair easily since it is so thin and straight. Plus I'd been sweating a lot and the sweat was all over my hair. Still need a haircut desperately.

I'm exhausted but I feel better about the progress.
My hair is very thin, too. It’s difficult to even pull it into a pony tail because it’s so thin. If I put it in a bun it would be the size of a nickel. 😩

We moved into our house last February. There are still lots of boxes to empty in Hubby’s shop and in my craft room. I (we) procrastinate and I don’t know where to put anymore of our stuff. The craft room just needs to be organized. Tubbies of yarn EVERYWHERE. And we can’t find the batteries for our weed eater. It’s in a box somewhere.

A few years back I bought up the subject with the wife about buying a cemetery lot for us. There is a local one that has two generations of my family buried. When I suggest there she informed me very vocally “NO WAY!” When I asked the cemetery where he father was buried she didn’t answer. I figured this was another reality she didn’t want face so I dropped the subject.

Beginning of this year I brought the subject up again, where? She quickly reply that she didn’t care. As a bonus she named the funeral home that she wanted.

I now know what direction to go. Just got off the phone, appointment for this afternoon to buy the burial lot. It’s where my ancestors are buried. When I asked wife if she wanted to go along and what cemetery her looks could kill.

Why can’t a woman make up their mind?

Since we have started camping we like to have a campfire. I thought there was a burn ban I effect, there isn't, so I didn't bring wood.
I bought some and it's pretty green and doesn't burn well.
My big rant is the price.
$6 for .75 cubic foot.
That works out to $1025.00 a cord.
I like to keep my wife happy so I just pay the price and don't tell her.
Cedar kinling is $4 for big hand full.
$22 so she can sit around a fire for a couple of hours.

Nothing like sitting around a good fire 🔥

We'll put a rack of seasoned oak up to the top of the truck bed across your tailgate for 20$, 15$ for pine. .50 cents a stick for non-cooking wood. on occasion, we get walnut or apple, but green egg guys snap it up fast at 100$ a load!

We have chosen cremation.

Less of a rant, and more of a complaint. I apologize to all for being absent this week, but they are burying my sister in law tomorrow. For this reason, I have my 2 grandkids and daughter staying here at my house and been busy cooking and entertaining. To top it off, Temps are 100-105 degrees, so the pool is really getting used.

come camp by our place, we've got plenty. Although there is a burn ban here now.

At least I don't have to work out in the sun but the ac is down in most of the building where I work, it is a mostly open floor plan. Wiped out when I get home, as is everyone else. We'll be closing a little earlier, I hope until it is cool enough to work comfortably. People come in and don't want to stay long. They ask if we know it is hot in there. Only in the upper 80s with no humidity control and in some areas hitting 90. Plus some of the tech stuff is going haywire.
