It's supposed to be at the very top end of the AM band between fifteen and seventeen IF AM still goes to 1700. It's only 1650 on my new radio. The last time I looked it was just quack and digital gunk.

Took two dogs out for a walk. Came home bleeding. Someone's dogs saw us walking and ran out their front door to us while I am yelling because I know a **** show is going to go down. Woman and her child, around 7 years old, come running to get the first dog while I am doing everything I can to control the two dogs I am walking. Woman picks up her dog while my dogs are going crazy because a dog is running at them and here comes a second dog, much, much bigger. Now I am yelling and cursing even louder because this is not going to be pretty. I wrapped the leashes around my hand to get better control and the woman says nothing, gets her dogs and goes back in!!! F words and sh words and "No, No, No!!!!" make no difference in a situation like this.
She knows her dogs can get out!!! Why not lock the damned door so they can't and won't?
One of the dogs I was walking was attacked in a very similar way a number of years ago. Owner walking by with dog on leash, another dog rushes the door and gets out, heading straight for the dog. Owner lifts up her dog as high as she can while the attacking dog is jumping in the air to get it. Dog needed vet attention and the bill was submitted to the attacking dog's owners. The attacking dog owners decided that the attacked dog owners should never be allowed to submit bills to them again, and get a lawyer to send them a notice, with a place for them to agree that no matter when or if their pitbull attacks their dog again, that they will not take any action against them!!!! Why in hell would anyone sign an agreement like that? They wouldn't if they had any brain cells! And they didn't sign it!!

Report her and her mutts to animal control and sue.

I do have spray, but I had a leash in each hand, well wrapped around my hands, trying to get better control. These things usually happen so fast that you don't even have time to react properly, especially when there are two of them. My injury came from one of the leashes being wrapped around my leg as the dog went around and between my legs and then pulled against my leg. One wound is about 3 inches long and bled the whole length of that. There is a second wound, is about an inch away, similar, but not quite as bloody. I do have a bruise about the size of a grapefruit.
Retractable leashes? Not good for walking dogs and trying to have control. None of the dogs that I see has retractable leashes. I have my own leashes that I would use if I were to come upon that.
People are so ignorant. They say things like, "My dog is fine," while it is running up without a leash on. "My dog isn't! Call your dog back." The fortunate thing about this situation is that the dogs that ran to us were friendly, but my dogs, the dogs I was walking today, are reactive. Thus the leashes. These dogs have e-collars, but because the smaller one goes after the larger one.

I'm sorry to hear this! I get bursitis in my hip if I am doing something different and stress my hips.
There are many over the counter pain meds that have never worked for me. Advil, Aleve, Tylenol, Motrin. Aspirin is the one thing that has always been my go to pain medication that has worked for me.

Weedy, I hate when people don't keep control of their dogs and then don't care when they cause injury or stress to other people. The dog owner should have apologized to you. I hope you heal up quickly.
Magus, I wish I could remember morse code. My dad was a morse interceptor back in vietnam and never forgot it.
So, I think I have all the parts I need to get the pump done tomorrow. Was feeling way too cruddy today to work on it, although, I told my mother I was going out and asked her if she wanted anything before I left. She angrily told me she was tired and to leave her alone. So, I'm outside organizing parts and cataloging stuff and then go back in to make a notation on my computer when I hear Mom just screaming at me angrily. I walk in the room to see what her major malfunction is and she's yelling at me that she's hungry. "Ok, what do you want to eat?" "I don't know!" but then she berates me for not being inside when she wanted food (my brother was home and in his room so she could have gotten him up). I reminded her that I told her I was going to be leaving and she starts hollering and having a tantrum. She shows me that her blood sugar is 68 on the cgm but she can't tell me what she wants me to get for her and is angry that I haven't gotten an undecided food for her. So I grab an orange, peel it, and give it to her. She then yells at me "You're not going to get me something to eat?" and I said "I just gave you something to eat! EAT IT!" and said that it could help bring her sugar up enough that she could decide on food. Then I misplaced my phone and was looking all over for it. Tried to call it with the landline to make it ring and discovered the landline is out AGAIN.
I got Mom to calm her tits enough that I could go to the store for some plumbing fittings and stuff. I get to the store and the thing I needed that they showed being in stock was not in stock. I ended up having to get something different and change my plans a bit. Annoying, but not the worst thing in the world.
Get home, get Mom food-- of course she whines and pretends she can't open the container by herself and whines about where I set the containers. Then whines when I'm trying to get myself food. I don't even remember what it was about. I list all the food I got. So then after that she asks me about broccoli. I tell her that I didn't get the chicken with broccoli. She asks again. I tell her again. Happens about 5 times before I lost my temper and very loudly said "I TOLD YOU I DIDN'T GET THE BROCCOLI FIVE TIMES BUT YOU NEVER LISTEN TO A GD THING I SAY!" She gave me an angry look but didn't say anything. Also, when I was trying to hand her stuff she had her noise canceling headphones on so I had to shout at her for her to hear me and then she got mad at me for shouting. I apologized for losing my temper. I was bent over, back was hurting, I'm tired, and wanted to eat something too. Then she doesn't even wait for me to finish my food before she starts yelling at me to get seconds and is mad I didn't magically teleport to the kitchen to get it within half a second.
So after dealing with that, I contact AT&T over the internet bc I don't get decent cell signal in the house and would have to go outside. I tell them my landline is out and I need it fixed. First I get their AI assistant. Then an allegedly real person who proceeds to tell me to call their 800 number. GAAAAAAAAAAAH! I just told them my phone wasn't working and the past history in the chat shows that I've told them repeatedly that I don't get cell signal in the house and I don't want to go outside and call them. They told me they would "review (my) case" and get back to me. *sigh* That was over 30min ago. Haven't heard back from them.
I know they are given scripts but why do people have to be so damn stupid?

5 years ago I bit in the same spot (Lyme) It affected the muscles in my arms a legs with severe pain along with just being sick. Could barely get up and down for 6 months. Started anti biotics as soon as I found it this time (I keep a lot of amoxicillin around)
I don't want to go through that again . Right after that I came down with (chronic pancreatitis
Don't know if it was relayed to the Lyme.
Good deal getting the jump on it! Hope all goes well and you have no problems!!

I went to one of my dog parks a couple years ago with a dog who was a frequent humper and my squirt bottle. She didn't like to be squirted! When some of my friends who were there saw that, they all went and bought squirt bottles too.

Texted with the owners of the dogs I am with last night. They wanted to know how things were. I told her about being rushed by dogs. She was really concerned because her dogs are not good in those situations. She said that those situations can be bad really quickly and the humans can get hurt. And sometimes the two dogs turn on each other. Yep. She was glad that it turned out as good as it did. Me, too!

Maybe I'll try a squirt bottle with the pup when he's peeing in the house. Taking him out every thirty minutes is not working. He likes to go out, then comes in and pees and poops.
Use words, "pee pee time" , "go poop", stay out with it until it does something then praise it! You need to measure you SEE it do what it needs to do outside!!

Didn't happen at all today. I was staying out there forever. But of course, I'll keep at it, the house is not his toilet.
With my police dog, my "go potty" command was mandatory. He knew this was the time, or he might be sitting in the back of the police unit for 8 hours, crossing his legs

Flipping deer got at one of my beds of spuds last night. That bed looks terrible now. No sign of them touching any of the other beds.

I have a love/hate relationship with the deer! I just know that if SHTF, I can walk up and whack them on the head before dinner!! I love them, but if I have to use them.......Ohdeardeer!

I saw a bunch of deer in my yard the last couple of days. Poor things got scared when I went outside.
Long story short, friend got the plumbing and most of the electrical done for the well system so we have running water again. The water is filthy, but its running and I was able to flush the toilets. I need to clean them later. Started around 7:30am and finished after 4pm. Had some snags and also kept telling friend to come out of the shed to cool off and get fresh air. Need to add some fans (or at least one fan) in there to cool the shed off in warmer months.
Got friend some food from a local place and some groceries. His work still hasn't sent him his full paycheck yet and he's getting irritated.
I'm really enjoying having short hair.
Arthritis is acting up-- have to let hands and wrists rest a bit.
