@DrPrepper I agree, I don't respond to Democrats plea for donations. I get emailed at least 3 time a day, saying the world is coming to an end and they need more money and my donation will be triple matched. I let them think what they will but I will vote against every Dem running for office. If the swamp is going to get drained, we need the keep control of the swamp.
My brother said yesterday it won't take long to vote this year, straight Republican. One pull.

Yep.

Better still. Not even mentioning the midterms at all. The best thing a Dem voter can do this year is stay the hell home or be at work instead. (in my opinion)... A vote for gridlock is a vote for insanity. You may not like Trump. Hell, you may hate him with a passion. But that doesn't change that he's getting stuff done, and in NO time. I remember Obama joking about Trump needing a magic wand....to do the things he's ALREADY DONE so far.

To want to put a halt to that, to me, is just downright insane. Even if you do have to put up with his tweets.
I never really liked him, his mannerisms, personality, being a smart aleck. But I sure do like how he works.

The only worry....a lot of STUPID folks out there that will vote. I mean the kind of idiots that are still convinced the allegation is RAPE vs. a GROPE while both were MINORS. (even if it were true, which by the evidence, seems highly unlikely).

Men, and momma bears will help in that area. I've seen many women on Twitter that are terrified for their children.

Men in general are terrified. Especially, white men.

I hope that those men use their fear as a prompt to gain* understanding of the behaviours of respect and clear consent and to learn how to challenge people who behave otherwise. This isn't a comment on Mr Kavanagh in particular.

* Edit: rather, to enhance their understanding. I didn't mean to imply that these men as a group lack all understanding.

What I find very disturbing is how they are making this in to a freaking circus. . . Even if she was manhandled by someone (I don't believe by Kavanaugh at all) for whatever reason people are trying to make this as bad as a rape in their heads. I really think this will actually deter any real rape victims from coming forward, especially in the he said, she said. I don't find this as an encouragement or inspiration for them to step forward.

I think that just as much scrutiny needs to be placed on the accuser as to the accused, even more. It seems like many of these "woman" groups, especially the Leftist ones, want the woman to be believed without question. I see this as a dangerous slippery slope. The accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty. That means that the accuser MUST prove her case against the man. Accusations alone are not enough.

Oh, THIS is priceless. It's appearing more and more that the GOP was fully aware of a lot of this stuff before it all started, and set a trap for the Dems. One they fell right into.

For instance, during the polygraph, they asked her about ever coaching folks on a polygraph. A rather odd question really...but now, a former boyfriend comes out recalling how Ford helped coach a gal (who works for the FBI) on a polygraph. The GOP totally knew this ahead of time.

Which is why so many of those types of cases don't get reported. . . .
Yes, this is why parents need to ingrain their daughters with survival skills. I hope to teach my nieces what to do, how to avoid and how to react and when to tell. Kids need to know they are safe to tell when it happens, not keep that **** inside and let it make them sick as so often happens. No one will take care of you like YOU.

My friends mothers advise "kick 'em where it hurts, scream like hell and pee on yourself while running away. . . " :)

I made a trip to Mississippi a few days ago, and between Montgomery and Uniontown on Hwy 80, the only thing you can get on the radio is Michael Savage. I'm not sure what to make of Savage, he has some crazy ideas. Like Ford is a CIA plant, and this is what Chuckie Schumer meant when he said "you take on the intelligence community, they have six ways from Sunday at getting back at you"

Her ex boyfriend wrote in a letter about her coaching friends on lie detector tests.

Ford and her family are deep state operatives. The deep state has been around for generations.

Nope, the grandfather bit is not correct. She isn't related to Deak. (false meme)

However, her father (Ralph Blasey II) (which is CONVENIENTLY totally ignored in the Snopes article about it), did run THREE CIA front companies for them: Red Coats Inc., Datawatch, and Admiral Security Systems.

In fact, this article is a PRIME example of why you can't trust Snopes on politics. They list it as FALSE because of a couple of detail issues, when the overall narrative of the meme is absolutely true (i.e. her ties to the CIA).

Even more importantly, parents need to teach their sons not to harrass, abuse, attack, rape or otherwise take advantage of other people, and to challenge those men who still do it.

Put the responsibility where it lies. I'm all for self-defence chops, but boys must - and can - learn self-control and respect, and that they are not entitled to the bodies, affection, support, time, labour or money of other people simply by dint of existing.

True enough. I know I don't stand for this crap in my presence. Not at all. In fact, I've taken licks for it (to get two gals to safety), that had me at the mercy of 4 guys, and eating soup through a straw for a week....

And I'd do the same damn thing if it ever came up again.

(hey, at least one of 'em had a broken nose for his trouble, and pretty sure I cracked a rib of another). Nothing broken on me. But my face took a beating and swelled up (especially my lips). All in all, I came out rather well for being pummeled by 3 guys (the 4th I took out quick with the nose). I had lots of bruises all over from kicks, etc. too. I'm a rather sturdy fellow I guess.

How about teaching girls not to make up stories about the boys Bluejoy?

Yep, also good, as I suspect most people who've read my posts would work out. I didn't mention it - or a great many other issues - because it's not what my post was about. Although brandx didn't mention it either, I'm fairly confident that they would also call it a good idea if you were to ask them.

Males need to keep their hands to themselves, unless invited. Females need to tell the story straight if they get caught with their panties down around their ankles. I really look forward to the day they develop a fool proof Lie Detector. Make all the politicians take the test and we won't need term limits. That would also end the "he said / she said" crapola.

It can be dangerous when women make up stories. Anyone remember the N. Carolina incident a few years ago? Several male students were accused of rape by a woman who turned out to be lying. It was a big media production. Trial by media, the guys were guilty. Through the judicial system, the guys were found not guilty. Later the same woman ended up in jail for stabbing her boyfriend.

Very true, it can be very dangerous when women make up stories, and such behaviour should be prosecuted. Just to be clear, I that the same goes for other people, too.

That said, in the UK, at least, the number of prosecutions for false allegations is far smaller than the number of prosecutions for rape, and rape and other sexual violence is by far the more urgent and widespread issue. Rape Crisis Scotland has an excellent page on false allegations: https://www.rapecrisisscotland.org.uk/false-allegations/

I see it is about 3% false allegations for Scotland. It is about 8% here. It is a set back for women every time it happens . I think if a woman is found to have falsely accused a man of rape there should be a serious stiff penalty. It makes the rest of us look bad.

This current hearing has hashtags of Believe Women and Belive Survivors. The case with Ford is laughable it’s so filled with inconsistencies and falsehoods. Yet, this is the case they want to use to educate people on the violence against women.... yeah thanks for nothing... it’s a joke. Once again we are set back by our own kind... women.
