They were all convinced Hillary was going to win in a landslide too. Even got all the news to believe it. How'd that turn out?
Well, it will lead to gridlock, to be sure. And severely handicap any good moves Trump might have had in the next two years.
I just happen to think that the silent majority that elected him, is being even MORE silent since all the furor after the election, and all the nonsense entertained by all this SCOTUS circus. When it's said and done, it's about who actually shows up at the polls on election day. In a mid-term election.
Also, the thing about this "silent majority" bit, is that folks may SAY one thing, VOTE another. Because behind the curtain, there's no repercussions. So you can say you voted however you like, while getting your real agenda through just fine.
Example, there's a race in my state. Sitting Dem senator, been there for decades. Now his GOP challenger (our current gov) is an evil sum bitch too. No good choice here. I feel I have to vote GOP here, as much as I hate the guy, just to a) satisfy my "throw the bums out" feeling on incumbents, and b) get rid of a Dem in the Senate. I frickin' hate to do it, and won't publicly acknowledge that as my choice, but it is what it is.
