I see it is about 3% false allegations for Scotland. It is about 8% here. It is a set back for women every time it happens . I think if a woman is found to have falsely accused a man of rape there should be a serious stiff penalty. It makes the rest of us look bad.

This current hearing has hashtags of Believe Women and Belive Survivors. The case with Ford is laughable it’s so filled with inconsistencies and falsehoods. Yet, this is the case they want to use to educate people on the violence against women.... yeah thanks for nothing... it’s a joke. Once again we are set back by our own kind... women.

Happily (if that's the right word) this case is just a drop in an ocean of work going on to raise awareness of violence against women ☺

I think that is just it, it isn't just a drop in the ocean when it is televised and talked about 24/7. While people watch on live tv the story slowly comes unraveled. Then there is no apology to the real victim (the man). What was the minority now becomes what people remember.

However, I am not complaining about violence against women in the US. Our numbers are far lower than many other places in the world.

Like i mentioned yesterday. Many here like the Dem running for Senator. I had a long talk with my husband. For us that was about 1 minute....... and explained how important it is to keep Pelosi and Schumer away from the podium.

So Schumer is calling on Bloomberg to help find $$$ to finance a big push for Phil Bredesen .

Even more importantly, parents need to teach their sons not to harrass, abuse, attack, rape or otherwise take advantage of other people, and to challenge those men who still do it.

Put the responsibility where it lies. I'm all for self-defence chops, but boys must - and can - learn self-control and respect, and that they are not entitled to the bodies, affection, support, time, labour or money of other people simply by dint of existing.
Of course that goes without saying. I was reinforcing the prepper mentality that we have here.

Parents need to be parents again unfortunately this is lacking in today’s society.

Today’s kids influences are the internet, violent video games, violent movies, gangsta rap, schools that teach defiance and parents that don’t give a ****.

Time magazine put Ford on their cover this week:
https://www.cnn.com/2018/10/04/media/time-cover-christine-blasey-ford/index.html

I'd just like to give a huge shoutout to Time, for infuriating conservative voters and driving them to the polls this November.
Thanks Time Magazine! Every time a conservative sees this at the checkout stand, it will reinforce the drive to vote this Nov.

Thank you Time, for being a true GOP vote getter!

I have to say, I'm on many different boards, and many are pretty balanced. I've only seen TWO people that are blue, posting about how this mess is driving them to the polls to try and stop the GOP. However, I've seen more than I can count, comment the other way around (i.e. independents that are now voting red, or reds who weren't going to vote, now ensuring they go to the midterm, etc.). I've seen the same in the comments sections of news sites, covering this issue, etc.

Overwhelmingly, folks are disgusted at this tactic and honestly, just amazed it even got the traction it did.

My nephew said he didn’t plan on voting until he watched some of the SCOTUS hearings.

It's just going to keep growing, all the way to Nov. This blew up BIG time for them. (and they still don't even realize it yet.)

Just going to hurt them worse. It's the Dems way though, to double-down on stupid.

This entire mess can be laid at the feet of Diane Feinstein. If she hadn't held the letter and turned it over during his confirmation, it would have had more traction.

True enough. Though I'm sure she was just following orders.
