She called her sister yesterday when we got home. She said something to the effect of 'this would have shocked me a year ago, but not so much anymore'. Then she talked about how much more focused and assertive the lady has become since we got together. She expressed happiness and wants to plan a small reception or party at some point.

Pops won't find out until we go see him next weekend to have early Thanksgiving. I am sure he will be just blink at me.

And then there is her ex and his wife! They will be soiling themselves because they know she can never be run over like they have done to her before. I'm sure there is more to this piece of life, but they will be so shocked as well.

Yes, when you know you do KNOW, and no one can tell you how this will be! You have to experience it for yourself! Both of them had said NEVER! Look at all his posts about marriage! But true love is true love! Too many people have settled when it comes to love.

I bought the lady a yin and yang necklace made from white and black rubies and she absolutely LOVED it. Wears it all the time and it quickly became our thing. She even bought herself matching black and white diamond earrings. So I decided I was gonna stay on theme.

The bigger back story to this is biblical. God said in Genesis 2:18 “It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper as his complement.” The word helper in Hebrew is Ezer. While in English it means a simple assistant, in Hebrew it means a lot more. Vital and essential assistance, one who rescues and supports, a valued partner and most importantly: one who is strong where the other is weak. So the Christian version of yin and yang, one who completes the other. The two colored diamonds are meant to represent that as well as good times and bad, sickness and health, etc.

No, never again. We are content just living in sin, but after 12 years, there is only a piece of paper difference. We would get killed in taxes to get married.

Looking back pretty much every major decision I have ever made has been a 'jump out, pull the rip cord, and hope I land softly' situation. Otherwise I overthink things to death and never decide at all. Just ask a black haired woman from Brazil.

Good luck on your move and job hunt. Things will work out. Stay positive and good things will happen.

She asked about coming to see him around Thanksgiving but he was pretty adamant that he did not want visitors. 5-10% of their conversation was personal and 90-95% was business related, the story of her life with him.

Then the lady presented me with a task list. It's long but not even half as long as hers. She is changing her name and that apparently takes work. Legally speaking she is taking my last name, but for the purpose of work she is doing the hyphenated dual last names thing. All I know is that she is now the CFO of Marsh Corp and so I am just going to sign any papers she presents me like I'm Joe in the oval office, clueless but happy.
