I bought 2 N95 mask at wal mart today..anyone know if they at least know if they at least help protect from ebole some what or not??

All I know for sure Jim is if/when we get a case of it over here, you won't be able to find a single mask on the shelves. Now is a good time to get some of those and some disposable gloves. A few gallons of bleach is probably a good idea too. Those masks may not be the best out there, but are shure better than nothing.

I imagine that Isis is looking to get some infected members over here and to England as well. The three thousand troops were sending there are probably hoping to restrict that. I know there have been troubles throughout history, but it sure seems like we've got a lot going on right now.

just got one more box of gloves and one more box of masks. That's all there were on the shelf. I don't plan to fill the shelves with them, but can't stress enough to everyone that some are a good idea.
Hoping to get this deal on some chain-link fence today. If so, I can get on task with converting one of the stalls to a bunny habitat to give them more room. We have a local yard sale type Facebook site where people basically post things they have or are looking for. One of those country things, but taken high tech, hehe.
That's a good idea, I should be hunting for a good deal on a nice-sized grill (and a quality one). My current one is in need of repair, and really, will cost almost as much as a new grill to do so...so don't see the point.

hmm i organized all of my preps and gear and moved it all to a large closet close to the front door for easy access and escape! going on a semi primitive camp with my dad next week plan to brush up on my fire making skills amongst other woodsy skills! doing leather working on the side now making sheaths and bags made myself a belt pouch and matching haversack turned out really nice! tuned up all my knives with the old diamond rod last night and threw a little oil on the high carbon blades. stocked up a 5 gal bucket with first aid and hygene products! yea i know my spelling sucks! still dehydrating and storing veggies whenever i can ! plan to start doing different meats soon like fish and chicken ! found some directions on that hope i get it rite never dehydrated anything meat wise other then beef and deer! well all i got for now ill post some pics of the haversack and belt pouch when i get a chance.
I always wanted to learn to work with leather. My parents in law ran a shoe repair shop for about 50 yrs, and did all kinds of leather work. When they retired they wholesales all the equipment for next to nothing. They had industrial stitches and all kinds of old heavy equipment. They would have given it to me but I was 9 hrs away and have too many hobbies allready! I canned two loads of pickeled okra today, and still have a pile to work on tomorrow. It's great stuff to trade or gift, not to mention just enjoy some too. I like it spicey! I just finished assembling my new smoker. I have a large thawed rabbit in the fridge that I plan to try it out on tomorrow. I read the Romans smoked meat to preserve it, I'll have to look into it. I also worked the last two days on my main fence, and am almost done! Yeah!!! It's been a couple year project, but the end is in sight. I have to fix the area where a stream enters the property and install some wire on the front cattle gates. Then it's off to the local pounds to find two good outside dogs that will protect my chickens, instead of eating them.
As for this week, i just bought a german all original K98 Mauser, which was unusually impulsive for me. lol
I was just browsing a MI gun owner and saw an add for the old gal. I texted the guy and he was just two towns over where my FIL lives. I texted him, texted the seller and had my FIL picking it up for me. The condition and the price were just too good to pass up. Even though i have to wat 4 month till im back to the states and take it to the range...

This must be proof that my soil is too dense for root vegetables. My grandson picked these this morning. We did get a couple of tender, smaller carrots, along with a couple of tomatoes and cucumbers. He helped me wash them, then cut them up and he ate what he picked. He thought that was really neat. I love teaching my grandchildren about growing food.
I had a very similar problem. What worked for me is a raised bed and the soil is a very light sandy soil in it.
One thing I am doing to prep is having two pocket notebooks. One is for coordnates of things like BOLs and other important places. The other one is for call signs of people from DPF and people from other places. I keep them in my GHB/BOB so I have access to them on the road.

Got my fencing delivered yesterday (100' of chainlink, 4' high, for $30). Have to love community yard sale and craigslist. This is for converting a horse stall to a deluxe bunny habitat. Incidentally, also got two sets of cowboy boots for $10 each. Woo hoo!
I was checking into really nice, but used grills, and most are running around 150$ - 200$ (for high quality grills that originally cost over $400). I did just get new burners and burner covers for mine though (which cost about $80 total) so this one should still last a bit, but I'll keep it as an additional one to have for larger cookouts needing two grills.
Edit: Yes, the chainlink won't be great for young rabbits, so we're still keeping the 3 section hutch handy for young, but the chainlink is small enough to prevent full size bunnies from getting out.

got a 500 round box of 22 ammo today..wish i had the money for more...on account there were 3 more boxes sitting there..
