Two hours later and WOW! Hope you are making out ok Patch, so far so good here! Hubby and I are betting on what happens first, power outage or the huge tree at the back of the house starts dropping branches! Be safe!Keep warm Patch.
Three or four years ago we were out for 4 1/2 days. We can do it, but would rather not!!@Pearl I sure hope you don't get any cracked trees or fallen branches. I've got some skinny tall worthless oaks around the house...hope they stay put too. Honestly have never gone through a power outage because of an ice storm, as far as I can remember. knock on wood. Plenty of ice storms though.
@hashbrown , y'all got snow , we got freezing rain.
We suppose to get snow this evening and tonight.
That is pretty. I remember taking my little .410 out and rabbit tracking in the snow , in West KY, when I was a boy
Stay warm and safe.

We have some on hand, but rarely use it. Will warm up in two days and melt it. We used it last year when we had nearly two weeks below freezing. I use my snake killing scrapers to scrape the ice off the walks! For all the ice that everyone is getting, do you use de-icer on your walks? I keep a 5 gallon bucket of it on my front porch. Someone did tell me that it is hard on concrete, but I don't have concrete walkways. Mine are all flagstone, from 100 years ago. Maybe de-icer is hard on flagstone as well, but I haven't seen any damage, other than when a tree guy dropped a branch and cracked it. jerk
