We got the first half of the prediction; rain last night and 1/2 inch of ice forecast for today. Temp is 26. Not sure if the worst of the snow will come today or tomorrow. My butt is firmly planted in the recliner, and I have no intention of going anywhere. I will sit by the window and watch the rest of the world go by.

10 degs this morning. Just a couple inches of snow overnight. Some years we get a lot of snow in February. Most of our snow storms dump 1 to 3 feet of snow at a time and we could be snowed in for a week to 10 days before I can get the road open. Right now we only have 3 - 4 feet of snow on the ground. Virtually all of our annual precipitation comes as snow. We get very little rain the rest of the year so we count on a heavy snow pack for our water. I'm hoping that we get a lot more snow in February and March.

Hope you have plenty of fuel for your generator.
Freezing rain and ice are the only thing that slows us down. Earlier this winter we got over an inch of freezing rain in one storm.
Be careful.
Wood stove is going, plenty of fuel, A LOT of water put up in the house! I'm ready!

I'm still on the soggy side (south) of the freeze line. I got wind gusts to 25mph out of the south. Temp is 56 degrees and rising. Weatherman says it will be over 70 degrees by 9pm, millions of gallons of water (and warm air) is being pulled up from the gulf.

This means... all that moisture will fall above the freeze line as ice and snow.

Me, just rain, 3+ inches through tomorrow. Hope everyone up north is ready!

I read somewhere... 1 inch of rain = 12 inches of snow...

34 degrees this morning...under storm warnings...supposed to drop to 11 by tonight...hopefully have all the critters as safe as possible...extra hay in the chicken boxes, barns for the big animals to get into, tarps over dogs kennels, lots of hay in covered boxes for feral cats, bird seed in the feeders...just got a light put back over the pump in our rain barrel area...they do not make light bulbs like they used to....

Ok fellow Texans, WINTER STORM WARNING starting during the day tomorrow! Artic air coming ing WAY faster than originally forecasted. Plan on losing power! Hope ya'll are well prepared!!💗
If you don't like the weather, you can just send it on over to @Supervisor42 He likes your second hand weather 😂

I kept a small heater going in the milkhouse overnight and now for the rabbits, baby guineas, and the dogs. It was handy for a place to go warm up while doing the other animals. Snow still coming, although lightly. High of 18 today, 6 inches on the ground, but windy, so more in other spots. It's about 15 out right now. Walkways are cleared and salted, animals watered and fed. Will repeat again before dark.

Freezing rain/sleet over here this morning snow coming tonight. Sending it on your way!

Right now just overcast and 50 deg. Suppose start raining soon.
Turn to freezing rain around 6pm.

Fired up generators, got plenty gas, got propane heaters ready , plenty food and water , plenty propane.(ask supervisor,☺).

Let her rip.

I have no idea how much snow we have, but it is supposed to snow off and on until 7 or 8 this evening. It was 12 degrees when I got up, and according to the weather app, it is still 12 degrees. Weather app says low of 3 degrees today and -4 tomorrow. High of 21 degrees today.

Just screenshot this.
It's dropping down toward me.

Rain last night, gradually turned to a wet snow. Got around 6". Went out with a broom and tried to get some of that heavy pack off the greenhouse. Fed the birds, hauled some firewood, I love the quiet, snowy weather with the trees covered and the birds all flitting around the feeders. Snow is slowing down now, supposed to get down to 7 tonight. Wind has picked up so could have some interesting drifts in the morning.

It's rained all day here, sometimes heavy. Rain gauge is showing more and an inch since this morning.

Weather report still says I won't get any snow or ice. Temps to stay about 60 (even over night) until early Sunday... It'll get cold Sunday night but the rain will be over by then.
