Here's our road, before the last snow.

I think I mentioned a week or two ago about the sudden low temps and icy snow we had here in north central Texas. I heard loud popping sounds in the night and thought it was electric lines (or at least guns or fireworks since it’s TX). Most likely trees popping…the sap. Sorry link is new, deleted.
Tonight…see Pearl’s forecast.

It is raining like a cow pissing on a flat rock, but the temp is 40 and supposed to be heading for the mid 50's, so no white stuff which is O.K. with me. One day closer to April.

60bon the way to work. Might hit 70. High wind warning all day. Gust may hit 70. Rain and storms later today/tonight

Been pouring rain here since early morning . Headed your way.
Suppose to get heavy rain with flooding all day.
55 deg right now , but the bottom is gonna drop out tonight and get into teens.
Maybe a dusting of snow.

Just a heads up.🤭

About 3 inches of snow since yesterday afternoon. Weather app says low of 14 today, but it was 11 degrees on the way to the airport. High of 36 predicted. Glad to be having a quiet day. Bible study will be via Zoom this morning.

Tornado Watches now issued for the NW quarter of Alabama. They also include parts of Tennessee and the eastern half Mississippi.

Should be over by 9pm cst. Southern and eastern Alabama will be under the gun until the wee hours of tomorrow morning. And Georgia...

Tornado warning for my county... on the ground but will miss me to the north... Boy, this didn't take long to get interesting!!

Edit to add... another one about to be declared south of me. Starting to feel like the kid with a broken leg in a dodge ball tournament.

The northern tornado fell apart, warning canceled...

But the one to the south... I'm directly in the path, center of the polygon.

This entire front stretches from Baton Rouge to Columbus OH.

Well, I've heard my first tornado of the year, about 4pm. I don't think I heard one last spring.

Anyway, this one wasn't on the ground. It had just spun up. I could hear it from my chair, really loud outside on my porch... It sat down about 2 miles east of me. It then went through an sparsely populated area. No damage reports yet.

Wind picked up, didn’t hear any thunderstorms, @Pearl . It has been cold today, in the 30s, wind made it feel like 25 degrees.
@Peanut i hope the bad weather moved on through. @phideaux that sounds dreadful.
T-storms with small hail in my area about 3am. Horrible north wind all day!

I think it's over for me... dark now, temps dropping. Tornado watch dropped for me and points NW. I lost count, there were either 7 or 8 tornadoes in a 4 hour span. 5 of them did some damage, not much damage except for one. No reports on the bad one. All of them were within 75miles of my home, 2 within 4 miles.

These storms were all moving at 60mph plus, small spinners, ef1's.

There was also wide spread damage from wind sheer, trees and limbs down. The storage shed salesman will make his quota next week.

Hope no one is hurt...

This is funny... weatherman on tv was showing photos of storm damage. There were several photos of trampolines. Then he said "trampolines are alabama's new state bird on days like this..." 🤣
