81 degrees here today and then north wind hit. Thinking we won’t get anything with this one. Drizzle last time. Husband compares 5 to 10 weather forecasts and gives it to me in the worst scenarios. He also drips all 5 of 6 water faucets outside, has a light under tarp on water well, 2 lights in dog houses, heater for cat room and lamp on my chickens. I told him they are dry and out of wind. No light necessary unless it stays in twenties for more than 24 hours. He doesn’t have to pay the $700.00 electric bill this month. Forever too hot in house or too cold. I need to put a lock on the thermostat. He also left electric heaters on at his camp house and water well and left water dripping. Vent over

I just looked at it will be 0 degrees when I do the driving to school run in the morning. Yuck!
Dogs and I all stayed home today, because of the single digits. I did go see an Aussie Shepherd because her owner is busy at work. She went out back to do her business but wanted me to throw tennis balls for her. Brrr

You're colder than us right now, Weedy. We're at 13 right now.
This is probably heading your way. It will be in the teens as a high tomorrow. Only the Aussie and I will go to the dog park and even then it will be cold. I always have fleece fabric that I put on the bench and then on my lap to help me stay warm.

Told our daughter to dress like when she worked in Alaska. They'll be here tomorrow through Sunday, and the weather is very cold till the next week. My sis from Florida comes in the following Tuesday, and temps are expected to be alot nicer. One day is projected to be in the 60's. She's from Florida, though, and will be freezing even if it's 60.

This front stalled out, it hasn't moved in 4 hours. Literally one county over from me they've had wind/lighting and lots of rain. It sprinkled here a couple times. Still 68 degrees at 11pm!

The national weather service dropped the tornado watch except counties up in the Tennessee valley. Hope @Angie is okay!

This pattern is supposed to continue til thursday.

During the last two days, we got about 16" of snow, I plowed the driveway and blew out the walkways about halfway through the storm. Today, it is sunny - yay! I will clean up the rest of the snow later this morning.

We are waiting for the other shoe to drop. Clear right now, but temp is 19. We are supposed to get 3"-5" later tonight and tomorrow. Not planning on going anywhere.

I woke up to my phone saying it was zero out. Now my laptop is saying -1. It is a day to stay in, except for mailing a book that I sold on Amazon yesterday and letting the Aussie shepherd out. If it were to warm up to double digits, we might go to the dog park because she can have me chuck a ball for her and chase it for a long time. She needs the exercise.

Expected to be in the low to mid 40's above for the next ten days, some showers occasionally. It has been like this for the last three weeks. Not normal for Alaska. I had close to six feet of snow, now only 30".

Do you shovel much? Plow or snow blow? I know we all need to be able to get out the door, and to go a certain distance, but there is a limit to how much snow we can move.

Our aussies had such thick undercoats, the cold didn't bother them (they did have houses etc.). Come spring when they blew their coat, we could fill a truck with the fluff we combed out of them!

10* this morning up against the house out of the wind. It's a cold 10* (sometimes it feels warmer than it is, not today.)

When I was younger, I greatly enjoyed shoveling snow. Now, I only shovel if substantial damage will result from not shoveling. I have (5) Five 20-foot connex/shipping containers, and they will bend and collapse if too much snow is on the roofs.

Mostly I now deal with snow on the ground, by parking the truck for six months, which saves about $365.00 on insurance. And constantly pack and re-pack walking trails using snowshoes.

83°, breezy and scattered sunshine... My kind of winter!
Joints happy!😍
WINTER STORM WARNING!! Just upgraded at 3am from the winter weather advisory. Covers a lot of North Texas. Looks like all ice!☹
You know, you don't have to ship that stuff 'next-day', right?😕
