Mid 80s with 80,,,%humidity. Thunderstorms at times but not much rain
Hey - I'm good! I'm well to the northwest of the events that took place yesterday. I feel really awful for those people. They got around eight inches in a very short period of time and a lot washed away. Roads, homes and people were lost.Has @bkt posted anything lately? New York was slammed with flooding yesterday.
Praying all is well for him and his family.
Oh my, how do you handle the heat??!!? I'm just starting to enjoy summer, bring on 110°!Typical summer. Hot, dry and dusty here. 79 degrees for high temp today. We had a couple days with dry lightning and zero rain. I smelled smoke last night but didn't see any fires. It must have burned itself out.
Our last snow, I hope, was on June 22nd.
I've worked in hot and humid areas before in Asia and the Middle East. The heat doesn't bother me as much as the dryness. I'd like to see some rain occasionally.Oh my, how do you handle the heat??!!? I'm just starting to enjoy summer, bring on 110°!
Excessive Heat Warning again!!
We are well prepared, but how many people are not because they didn't give the proper notice! There is not supposed to be an issue with the grid!We are now dealing with rolling blackouts. Four hours off, four hours on! Off 6pm-10pm and 2 am-6am!! I'm on a co-op! They are supposed to provide notice before!
I would invite you to Texas to play golf, but you golf balls would meltWe are in the midst of quite a storm. Lost power for about an hour and a half. It cooled things off nicely, and will be good for the grass. Might put the kabosh on golf tomorrow. We are tired of playing cart path only. Fingers crossed.
You and Patch need to stop being greedy and stealing our humidity .108° and humid! Nice breeze, kinda like a blow dryer on high pointed at your face! I just think of the stupid ice storms and this heat is ok with me!!
I was 12yrs old and living up north. My brother was here in Texas, a record breaking summer! It can happen again!!Thinking of summer heat… anyone else remember July of 1980? Any where close to the mississippi valley was brutal that month. Most of the country was affected though. 100 million people were under a severe heat warning.
There were 18 days over 100 degrees in St. Louis mo, 153 people died in the area. I was in St. Charles just across the river. Went up with a friend for a week then back to Bama where the heat was worse. I had one tiny air conditioner in my apartment, worked great til the temp hit 80. At night I'd drive to the lock n dam on the Warrior river and sleep in my car by the spillway (giant swamp cooler). About midnight it'd finally be cool enough to sleep.
