I got 1.74 inches of rain in the last 24 hours. Just caught the local weather on the tv. They said it'll rain everyday through monday. There is a tropical wave in the gulf pushing bands of rain north.

I reported .30" rain this morning. As of right now we have another .06" in the gauge. I'll take my reading as I head to work in the morning. We to are expected 2-6" thru monday. What little we have gotten so far has made the plants in the garden stand up and look good.

We are into summer here. Some clouds but mostly sun. We got a bit of a thunder storm but only a short drizzle for rain. I am waiting for a couple of weeks without rain or dew to paint the house, garage and shop. My wife has the color picked out and I figure about 15 gallons of paint and then five gallons for trim.

We had a thunderstorm in the mountains just East of us but it was cool (70F high) and broken clouds without rain - well, I did see one small drop that hit a small rock on the ground but that was it.

Right now its 81 but with the humidity it feels like 86. Its starting to cloud up and weather station is calling for rain starting tomorrow, sunday night, monday and monday night. Must be that big swath down south making its way up here finally. The leading edge of it is just south of us.We haven't any measurable rain for a week or more now. It'll be nice to get some

It didn't rain anymore last night or this morning. Funny, a small cloud, on radar less than 8 miles in diameter came over. It was moving so slowly! It dumped just over an inch of rain this afternoon for a total of 1.09 inches in the last 24hrs.

Since Wednesday at 6pm it's rained 3.16 inches.

I had to post this pic... the taller 2 rows of corn has literally grown 1ft since the rain started 72 hours ago.

We had 1.47" of rain when I emptied the gauge. Just a couple of showers since then. It is amazing how much the garden has grown in the last 2-3 days after being almost dormant for a couple weeks.

I went without a drop of rain for 23 days, the garden was hurting badly.

Traditionally we get rain around the 4th of July... I hope this rain carries the garden until then.

Painfully "HOT" 77 degrees and cloudless blue heaven. Or what Commercial Pilots call, CAVU baby (Clear Air Visibility Unlimited).

We're getting the rain that finally got here yesterday afternoon. It will clear out tonight sometime and tuesday will be nice and sunny.
Highs are in the mid 70's and lows are in the low 50's this week coming up

I have been dumping two gallons on each of my blueberry bushes (three of them) because this time of year we don't get more than a couple hundredths of an inch per week. The soil was well prepared for them and it drains well so they need the water to prevent burn from the fertilizer and high acid content. So far two of them look great and the one is beginning to perk up.
The rest of the garden gets an inch of rain twice a week and it is looking great!
