Started snowing here about 5:30 this morning. Snowing fairly hard and the ground is now fully covered. Snow to continue throughout the day and into the evening.
It is great to live in hot, sunny Arizona. :)

Glad I saw your post this morning. Left the desert and went back up the mountain but took the "ugly desert" road instead of the scenic mountain rd. Didn't hit snow until I got to my house. It was just starting. It keeps switching between snow and rain.

It came a Toad strangler, a chunk floater or as my Great Granny would say a Sow Coon, I think she meant a typhoon but we never corrected her. The county is replacing a low water bridge because it traps a lot of families when Bull creek rises. There are a lot of good contractors in the area that could of built the new bridge but the hired an out of town contractor to build the bridge. I found it quite ironic when this storm had been predicted for several days they didn't move there equipment to higher ground when they knew a big rain was eminent. A lot of the new bridge building materials were on site and now will never be found. Live and learn I guess.

Happened to flip channels... tornado warning issued for my county.

If its on the ground it should pass a couple miles east of me.

However, I'm about to get pounded by nasty thunderstorm with hail... The rain started since I started typing this thread...

try to post later...

Edit, it passed, thunder and lightening, no hail. I got about half an inch of rain.

This one almost snuck up on me. I saw the clouds, checked the radar website, saw something about warnings... Then check the local tv news station which was on air giving the minute by minute...

It rained off and on today, light showers. I just heard the forecast for tomorrow. The Danger time is 9am to 9pm, risk level of 3 out of 5.

Last time we were at a 3 of 5 risk... 24 tornadoes touched down. oh goodie...

Should be a quiet night, might can get some sleep.

Today we dodged a tornado.

This one wasn’t bad. 1,200 people without power is the brunt of it.

Last year was a different story. 2-10-20 we got a damaging tornado that also hit my plumbing shop/office. Employees cars & our building was damaged from wind & flying debris from the building supply shop across the street. Quite a few people in the path had to rebuild. Some friends of ours had the roof picked up off their house. They weren’t even in the tornado’s path, a microburst took it out. Thank God their insurance covered the cost to rebuild. (no pic of their house)
