Overcast here, so I reckon I'll log out and take care of the watering & weeding for the day... AFTER I finish this cold beer I cracked to put me in the mood, lol. At least it's cooler outside, I'm hoping we transition into fall weather here without any more really hot days! I used to withstand triple-digit heat pretty well, but I think my age is creeping up on me and I'm not so fond of hot weather anymore, lol. Here in the high desert, spring & fall are the best seasons, while winter is fairly mild, but the hot summers drag on... can't wait to see snow on the ground, lol. But first, some glorious fall weather... trail riding weather for the thumper! Gotta call the shop about getting that recalled tire swapped out this weekend! Top priority!

This was yesterday. Today it is suppose to be even hotter. I'd hate to be the fool who has to pay this month's electricity bill!

Fool = Me

Rain, and more on the way, 80's!
Be careful what you wish for!

DW is mowing the lawn for the third time in 2 days!
She calls it 'getting rid of the cow-piles'.
You may wanna gas your mower up.
If it is days and days, you get behind, and it is a royal-pain playing ketchup.gaah

This morning was hot and steamy... it rained this afternoon. Now its even hotter and steamier.

Thanks @Supervisor42 definitely be watching this one closely. More than likely be an east coast storm, most late season storms are... never know though...
Not aimed at the east coast:mad::
The disturbance is expected to move slowly west-northwestward,
toward the adjacent waters of the northern Leeward Islands.
If it hits the Gulf, water temps are in mid to upper 80's.
Great power is is out there:oops:.
(yes, I am hoping everyone hands me a cup of 'shut-up juice' and tells me how wrong I am:().

Now, why would we do THAT? Personally, I'd rather say: "GOATHEADS!!! GOATHEADS!!! AND MORE GOATHEADS!!! BWAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!" 🤣

On a more serious note, be safe down there on the Gulf Coast if that storm heads your way...

Weather here is partly cloudy and relatively quiet... good beer-drinking weather, lol. ;)

P.S. Yes, I've been dealing with goatheads for too long... could someone please direct me to the nearest psychiatric unit? Preferably one that serves alcohol, lol. 🤪

Four years later Puerto Rico, still hasn't rebuilt from this one...
Hurricane Maria devastated the U.S. territory on Sept. 20, 2017, ultimately killing at least 2,975 people; it was the deadliest U.S.-based natural disaster in 100 years. Over 200,000 Puerto Ricans left for the mainland, many temporarily and some permanently. Island residents had no full power for almost a year.
See if you think it didn't come from the same place:

I'll swap one of these for your goatheads! :)
Heck, I'll take all of them!!!

I'd be getting the better part of the bargain... ;)
Yep.
Everybody only gets to see the tracking-cone pics like the one I posted and never even know just how dambig these things actually are.
The same Ida from the ISS space station:

Well, that's a bit more than just a big zit.

Holy Mackerel!!! That's one big storm!!!

Wouldn't wanna be sailing through it... probably make 20 knots under bare poles, lol.
So, you think 60-80 goatheads would be about fair?
BTW, many of us toss 'throwbacks' at each other just to have fun.
Almost all of us have a 'running theme' that is a soapbox we will always 'dance to' when somebody pings us.
It's all in good fun, and we have lots of fun here.
Rest assured, if you let it sleep, we won't:p.
Months from now, when someone answers one of your posts and tosses in a goathead, you will probably blow beer on your keyboard.:eyeballs:
Aw shoot!:( On topic... We have had 2 days without rain! Outstanding!!:woo hoo:
