Went to the Colorado Avalanche NHL game. Ate there. The worst nachos ever. Tasteless chips. Tasteless artificial cheese. Tasteless carnitas meat. Tasteless pico de gallo. The jalapenos did have a small amount of heat, but no flavor. Paid a stinkin' $12 for that soggy disaster. Came home and gobbled down Pepsid, antacids, and Pepto Bismal. Currently hunting for a bit of ginger ale. Waiting for the bloated feeling in my stomach to settle enough to go to bed. I expect that's going to be somewhere around 3:00am.

Next time I'm just going to eat the armrest on my stadium chair. It's bound to be better.

Leftover ingredients casserole, I can't stand to waste good food.
2+ cups of rice.
a 1/4 cup of diced onion.
about a cup of mushrooms
1/2 a bell pepper.
Almost a cup of Spinach.
a can of diced and spiced tomatoes
that last bit of Ragu meat sauce, a bit less than a jar
a hamburger steak chopped to bits.

cook until its done, put it in a microwave safe dish and cover with 3/4 cup of shredded provolone and mildly broken crackers.
nuke until its all melted, serve with garlic bread and a salad.

We had a green bean, potato pasta dish, green salad, pineapple, and corn casserole.
AAAANNNNNDDDD.......Banana pudding for dessert. The real stuff. Even the parrot (Bibi) got a few bites. His favorite, too.
You always have such good food. I think I need to come there for dinner! :dancing:

Supper was a pot luck after the funeral. A 10ft folding table held eating utensils and homemade breads, including biscuits, rolls and cornbread (without sugar). 2 10ft tables held the meats and veggies. Another 10ft table held the desserts. I ate way to much… but everything looked sooo good! I had to get a few bites of most everything. :)

Pot roast and veges are in the Instant Pot cooking away as I type. Cracking open a beer soon. I'll make some salads in a bit, throw a loaf of French Bread into the oven, and thicken the cooking juices into gravy at the end. We'll polish things off with some ice cream if our stomachs have any room left. It's my sons birthday and since going out to a nice restaurant on Easter with all the crowds is an ordeal sure to end in frustration, I'm cooking at home tonight.

My daughter was at that game. She is a nachos fan because they are gluten free. I'll ask her if she eats them there. I would imagine it is the same people that make the food for the Rockies and the Broncos, and probably the same. I know she gets nachos at Rockies games with extra jalapenos. She likes to pronounce jalapenos with a J sound, not the H sound. I wonder if the "meat" has little to no meat in it at all.
