Sous vide 129 degree (medium rare) Prime NY Strip, with a one minute sear on the grill on each side...and a Napa Valley Cabernet given to me by a vendor to my company...melt in your mouth steak with a great bottle of wine?......Heaven.

Had half the bottle before and during dinner...and then the rest sitting out on our deck late into the evening with my wife (she's a beer drinker), talking, listening to the wind blowing through the trees and animals making noises in the woods behind the house, finishing with a pipe.

Nice to have a special dinner, and nice relaxing night every now and then.

Mom and sis for dinner tonight. We had chicken (our own), green beans (our own), small potatoes (our own), and salad with our own tomatoes. Mom cut everything up in tiny little pieces, ate a few bites, moved the rest into a mound on her plate. She tried adding more to her mound but we told her not to, she was full and done.

Another chicken burrito tonight, the mix is still delicious but I bought a couple more Haas avocados to replace the guacamole that I already ate, lol... still got some sour cream, so no worries in that department. Whoowhee, I'm kinda tired after running around, and after all the excitement earlier this week, so I'm gonna log out and go MACK, then CRASH for the night, lol. It has been a good day, but I'm gonna need my 'beauty sleep' if I'm gonna charge hard tomorrow! That's no lie either, I lost my youthful charm in distant memory, it fell off the back of a truck about a million miles ago, lol... maybe two million miles, AYE? But I'm still here like a BAD RASH, and I'll continue to plague youse H&CL Hee-roes like nobody's business, LOL. Until I'm BANNED, of course, but I'd damned sure BETTER get a REFUND on that contribution I made, LOL. There IS such a thing as 'INTERNET JUSTICE!!!' BWAHAHAHA!!! Damn, sometimes I slay myself... "G'night, youse H&CL HEROES!!!" ;)

Roast beef I've had in the freezer for a while, done in the slow cooker, with veg, Yorkshire puds and gravy.
I cooked a large chicken to do lunch sandwiches (sliced meats are a horrendous price here- I'm not paying that kind of money for processed food) and stir fry or curry tomorrow evening as Daughter offered me a free ticket to a gig. So I'm off out- two weeks in a row, you'd think I had a social life 😂 😂

It was a beautiful warm morning so we made omelettes on the porch.

Oh geesh, no tots?
We ate at my favorite cousin's place. A special dinner for my visiting salad. I brought a chocolate plate and a green salad with lots of avocado. We had meatloaf, mashed potatoes with white gravy, homemade bread rolls with their honey. Dessert was chocolate hot sundae cake with ice cream.

DW cooked up some Little Smokies last night. Nice and salty .
Tonight I poured some Bush's Honey-Sweet baked beans in with them. Nice and sweet. Sweet & salty rocks!

Ya know, Supe, salt gets a bad rap health-wise, but the truth is that active folks need it. Sometimes, after I've been doing hard manual labor in the yard (pulling goathead vines, for example, lol), my system actually craves salt! So I don't buy into all the "salt is bad for you" BS... like many things, it's best taken in moderation, but I LIKE salty foods on occasion. :D

P.S. That's some good-lookin' beanie-weenie action right there!!! ;)
