Street style bean burritos, no cheese.
1 can of Rosarita refried beans.
1 can of Rotel tomatoes and mild chili peppers. (drained.)
A sprinkle of onion.
A dab of sour cream.
a shot of Texas Pete.
Whole wheat wrap.

Add some fajita steak and its heaven!

Daughter liked the filet mignon so much she bought more! I think that I have eaten it less than five times in my life and here we are twice in a couple weeks. Too expensive for sure. Stuff is so tender! Otherwise, I don't really eat steaks and roasts. Same favorite salad as always.
Nobody else in my family will eat brussel sprouts. They're okay.

It is even better if it is Moose tenderloin. Plus, it is FREE.

Store had a deal on some pork, so tonight it is braised pork shoulder roast with golden potatoes, fresh carrots, and a couple vidalia onions tossed in.

Oh, and brussel sprouts are awesome.

When Jake wakes up and says he’s hungry.

I noticed that Jake has about four times as much protein on his plate as carbs. He is going to keep getting stronger eating like that.

Beef Sauerbraten (with red cabbage & potatoes).

Never had it before. Basically, it was a beef roast, but with a peppercorn-sweet-vinegar sauce instead of American style gravy. (Hopefully I got that right.) The wife has a lot of German heritage on her side of the family, and she heard one of them had a good Sauerbraten recipe, and she was itching to make it.

It was good...but, I wasn't sure it was something I wanted to have all the time. My wife said, "Like corned beef & cabbage. Something good to have every now and again, but not all the time."

We have corned beef twice a year, once around St. Patrick's Day (my side of the family is heavy on the Irish), and once on my daughter's birthday, since that was always my daughter's choice for her birthday meal. We still have corned beef on her birthday, even if she isn't around. (She grew up and moved a few states over.) So, maybe we will have Sauerbraten around Oktoberfest.

Forgot these pics I took earlier...thing was, I started to pick at the food before I remembered to take a couple pics, plus the pile of turkey was hidden under heaps of homemade gravy, lol. Meh, it still tasted pretty good, and I kept the cranberry sauce and green beans separate in order to leave more room on my plate for turkey, taters, stuffing & gravy, lol. Sometimes I'll use an old piece of newspaper as a place mat on that excellent wooden dinner tray, then toss it when I'm done... evidently that's what I did earlier. Here are pics:

Too bad I picked at the turkey first, or pecked at it like a hungry buzzard, lol... it was juicy & delicious, and I'd grab some of that cranberry sauce to go with it. An occasional bite of green bean casserole, and I was in heaven. Plenty of leftovers too, I made a turkey plate with gravy for the cats earlier, and they 'Hoovered' that bird in Guinness World Record time, lol. I'm gonna load another one for 'em when I make my sandwich for tomorrow's ride, I'll even throw some more gravy on it and zap it in the Metal Mulisha Microwave so it's not too cold for the little guys & gals! Gotta treat the kids right! ;)

P.S. The green bean casserole had a nice little crust to it once it was done cooking, just the way I like it, but I stirred up the beans before serving... still tasted mighty fine! Gotta love green bean casserole with 'Cream of Mushroom' soup! :)
