Bit of a mixed bag tonight, I've a few bits in the freezer I want to use up so some fried rice, I've stir fry garlic chicken, a small tray of pork belly bites I picked up on sale last night and chicken goujons for anyone who thinks they are too spicy. Chips to bulk it up if there is not enough for everyone.

Crab stuffing in a light creamy chicken sauce, Japanese street-style ramen noodles
and a rolling rock, chiller style with a lime wedge and frozen salted mug. cherry flip for dessert.

A friend came over to pick up more pecans. She brought me a plate... chicken dressing, green beans, peas, okra and candied yams. I'm stuffed! That girl knows how to cook!

The other day I ate meat n 3 at the place down the road. I usually pass on dessert, sometimes they put it in a container and bring it with my meal anyway.

They gave me something they called "Banana Pudding Cake'. Brought it home, I'd never heard of it. It was okay, sort of tasted like banana pudding. The cake was really dense, sort of like pound cake but thicker, had meringue on top for icing.

Anyone heard of it?

No, but it sounds good!

Oops, cleaning up the kitchen, forgot to give the rest Banana Pudding Cake to the dog. I don't care for most whipped toppings, didn't care for this one either.

But the cake part was excellent. It had a strong banana flavor that was real. It was very dense and extremely creamy. Tasted like banana puree was somehow in the cream? The owner/cook said he came up with it, maybe... he was talking to people several tables away. He's a very good cook though (big al). What ever the source...

It was very good cake but he should ditch the whipped topping. Put on thin banana slices/dices, crumble some vanilla wafers over it... it'd be really good then! Don't often have desserts w/meals but would order that! 😁

Anyway, I've never seen this dessert or tasted anything like it, nothing close. Thought it was interesting.
