Son is cooking tonight as I have classes- he's making burgers and chips. (Fries) Half planning a fish pie for tomorrow night, I have some hake in the freezer I need to use up, but might look for a different idea as they are not huge fans of fish pie in this house.
Tried out a new recipe this morning, a oatcakey flapjack thing- though I deviated from the recipe, turned out nice, but I prefer the one I found, and lost, on Pinterest.

Yep, it's about a 25 min drive to a fast food, and we don't eat much of that anyway, so we don't go. The amish restaurant still is reasonably priced, and we get to go orders there when I don't want to cook. A good hot cooked dinner, like fried chicken with two sides and a roll is still $11. Can't beat that. Usually 3 To Go dinners is under $35 for us, and that's better than Chic Fil A, really. We do have a burger place in our little town, but their food is gross and other granddaughter used to work there, I don't care for the owners. So we don't go there.

If I am too tired to cook, I get something pre made out of the freezers. It's a long drive to town and I don't like sitting in restaurants. They make me tired.
crowded restaurants make me have anxiety

I made Indian food today: chicken tikka masala , rice, mango salad, spicy creamed spinach
then baked banana bread

Tomorrow I'm planning on either crab stuffing with potatoes and a light chicken gravy with a spaghetti squash (tiny one) and either rum mocha or trailer park Clamato.
No, there will be no light beer involved, I like Michelob dark for the zing or maybe Mickey's for a more earthy taste. either way I need to get some celery and green onion.

A Dac ham 7 years past it's prime with white rice and broccoli on the side. There was a slight tin after taste. In the end I am not sure the rotty noticed. The rice and broccoli was good. 😅

For the record I didn't poison my dog. I tasted it hours earlier and I am fine. Just not that hungry, yet.
