I put a pork roast, carrots, russet potatoes, sweet potatoes and onions in the Crock Pot. Now we are running errands. Dinner will be ready when we get home.
We were supposed to have dinner at my favorite cousin's place, but last minute with the flooding, did not. So we had a large spinach salad and a large macaroni salad made that we were bringing. So we had some of that, and turkey sandwiches.
Chicken pot pie tonight, and have meatballs ready for tomorrow night in the slow cooker. Also found some cooking apples so made pastry and will throw the two pies in together to get full use from the oven.
I will be making a signature sandwich from a Pizza place I worked at in FL. Called a Big Frankie. Put deli sliced ham on a hoagie type roll. Top with mozzarella cheese and a small trip of cheddar cheese. Put under broiler for a few minutes to melt cheese and toast roll. Top with sweet coleslaw. It sounds weird but is a great combo! I made the coleslaw and we used to make the rolls fresh every morning. Great sandwich!
Beans and beef. Added in chopped fresh tomatoes, too. Kinda like a chili, but husband didn't want the spice, so no spice. Sourdough bread, corn on the cob, leftover green beans, and some mixed fruit.
