I’ll be without an oven or cooktop until almost the end of February. Parts needed are in back order. It’s a very nice stove thst came with the house and wouldn’t be cheap to replace.

Two days ago I made beef stroganoff in the Instant Pot and we ate that for two days. Today I’m making a pork roast and veggies in the Crock Pot.

You just have to get creative until then!! Hopefully the parts come in early!!

Bummer about the stove. I've got an amish one (off grid), and the guy had it in stock. Gas one with the propane kit, ignitors are 9 volt. Broiler on the bottom in a small drawer, so that's a little different. No clock, timer. But it works so well, I am pleased. Delivered it and installed it right away, took the old one out. The old one came with the farm and was ancient and gross.

Tonight is granddaughter's request for lasagna. Also some sourdough and a spinach salad.

Do you have the manufactures tech support phone number?

Call tech support and talk to a tech, ask him for the model numbers that use the same components as your model

If you find a model xxxccc that has the same part as model cccxxx. Then order it

If that does not pan out ast tech for a list of after market part numbers

Philly cheesesteaks for dinner - or my version- and enough cheese sauce made to double up for daughter's mac and cheese for lunch tomorrow. Decided it would be too easy just to lay around feeling sick and miserable, so made sausage rolls and almond slices. Tried out a new bar recipe, and have a mince pie made for Tuesday night, when I'm busy.

I made bacon and bacon gravy with toast and eggs this morning. I have babybacks on the smoker for tonight.

Might fix minestrone soup (minn uh stroh nee) LOL
Yeah, I think that's a good idea. Easy, one pot. Beans, little pasta shapes, broth, veggies, Italian seasoning. Maybe a little tom sauce.
Anyone without kitchen @Heartbroken and @winds-of-change you need any ideas, I guess just stop on in this thread.
I bet @jishinsjourney would have a thing or two to say about minestrone.

Leftover "Happy Family with fried rice" from Chinese takeout last night. Banana bread for dessert (can't wait to cut into the loaf I just made today!)
Have to share a quick funny: SIL makes candles. Bro came home one day to the smell of banana nut bread and started hunting around the kitchen for it- then got upset when he learned it was “just a candle.” 😂

Tonight was grilled salmon, Jasmine rice and tossed salad.

Looking forward to making pot roast tomorrow (with potatoes, carrots, onions and mushrooms). Throw all that in the Instant Pot after browning the meat, along with a packet of dry onion soup mix and some beef broth, and it's done quickly. And it comes out super tasty.

Sometimes the simple/traditional meals are the best! I should correct that - almost all of the time they are the best! I don't need fancy to be happy.

Beef stroganoff
I had beef stroganoff the other day. It’s one of my favorite meals.
@Bacpacker I found an easy beef stroganoff recipe. Hope to try that soon. What cut of steak do y’all usually use?
I buy a chuck roast and cut it into stew meat and beef stroganoff meat. I cook it in the Instant Pot to make the meat tender. Sometimes I just use hamburger.

We have parts ordered. Hubby ordered a part but it was not the right part. We sent it back and ordered the correct one (I hope). It will just take forever to come in. In the meantime, I bought an electric skillet and got a mini countertop oven from the thrift store I volunteer at.
