I miss good ol' east coast Philly cheese steaks!!
There are Jersey Mike's sub shops in the DFW area. Over near Preston Road in Dallas/Carrolton area ...we ate there once or twice. So good. There is at least one more on the west side.
EDIT: I must have messed up while typing.

Picked up a few packs of good quality mince and cooked it all yesterday. Last night had spag bol, and made some lasagnes for the freezer at the same time.
Have mash left over from Sundays dinner and a load of veg to use up, so today having mince pie with them.

Pasta with Swedish Meatballs.

No, not from scratch this time.

Vinegar? I have had many many cheesteaks and never tasted or smelled vinegar?
Oil and vinegar, actually. You must not be from the east coast like me, @Pearl , and @Tommyice We are PHILLY cheesesteak fans. That's how the real ones are made. I asked about vinegar last night and the guy said oh allergies. I scoffed. Ain't nobody allergic to vinegar.

A really good P.C. will be steaming hot, smothered in provolone cheese, green peppers, onions, if you ask- mushrooms, and a slight jigger or two of red wine vinegar mixed with olive oil and herbs. You’ll notice if it’s missing.

I have had dozens of cheesesteaks in different places and did not detect oil and vinegar. But I do make mine with everything else you mentioned, including the mushrooms.

I have an oil, vinegar, herb shaker bottle thingy that I use when making sub sandwiches though. Maybe I will trying on the cheesesteaks next time.

Oil and vinegar is good on all sub sandwiches! Guess it's a Yankee thing!!😃🤔

Deviled eggs made, half are gone already (gave 4 halves to SIL), we ate 6 other halves ... so yummy!

So, no dinner tonight :(. I'll have to do a little grazing ...

Pups got their food with the Natures Blend ... eating it up now ... although they did both get diarrhea, probably from the new food last night ... might have given them too much to start.
