Jake is at a FFA meeting tonight so it was a fend for yourself sort of evening. I had steak and eggs the steak was leftover from last night Alexandra had buttered noodles.

So fend for yourself doesn't mean fight your wife for the cute bunny rabbit in the yard for dinner!! Y'all did ok!!🙃😜

Hubby is at work and I have been messing around in the kitchen! I made a chicken, pasta and vegetable thingy!! I'm sampling it now for lunch!! Pretty good so it's supper too!! Not a casserole, I cut up and cooked chicken breast in olive oil, added some mixed veggies and cream of chicken soup after the chicken was cooked. Cooked some medium egg noodles, drained them and added them and some powdered ranch dressing mix to the chicken!

Today is popcorn shrimp, hush puppies and potato salad

Tomorrow is Fried ham steak and pasta salad

Tuesday will be BBQ chicken tenders, coleslaw and oven fries

Wednesday will be Haluska (cabbage was on sale for 12 cents a pound hence the slaw and Haluska lol)

Thursday might be homemade pizza haven't decided

Looks great! link?

Thank God for the Instant Pot! My son typically comes over for dinner on Tuesday nights these days, but called and said tonight would be better. That was a little after 5:00pm. And I managed to brown a roast and get it going in the Instant Pot along with potatoes, onions. carrots, mushrooms and seasonings. All in time for a 7:45 sit-down dinner time (that includes 30 minutes for the roast to get out of the fridge and warm to room temp before browning). The one thing I didn't have on hand was some kind of bread, so I'll now make a quick run to the store to pick up a scrumptious loaf from the bakery. I'm thinking one of those fancy smancy artisan baguettes maybe. Dip it in a little olive oil/Italian seasonings or maybe just in the pot roast gravy.
