Supervisor 42 said " I had a can of the VC fruit cocktail".

If I remember correctly that would be rice and bananas.
LOL!
That's "Very Cherry" fruit cocktail:

You know how they never put enough cherries in there, well this one's got'em!

Save the Fruit Cocktail for dessert...then do what SG said...Throw it all in a crockpot !!

:stir pot:

that was easy...
Well, I just couldn't risk opening that many cans since I don't know how long it will be before the radiation from the fallout dies down to a safe level.
It could be several more days. It has dropped from about 320 R/hr to just a little over 120 R/hr in only a few days. Still too 'hot' to go outside. (this is a fake practice run BTW).
I elected to go with an old standby: 2 cans of green beans with 2 cans chicken-noodle soup with a good dose of Velveeta. Holding back some of the Velveeta in case I have to resort to the last box of Mac & Cheese.
Finally some good news.
Since the club-crackers ran out early, there was much despair.
I got to looking and turned up an unopened bag of Doritos to eat the can-goods with!

And there was much rejoicing!:green man:
Boy, what I wouldn't give for a can of Spam about now!.
Batteries in the CDV-700 and CDV-717 holding up well. I only run them an hour or two a day since the radiation level changes slowly now.
(again, this is only a practice run)

Well, I was hungry, so I ate the whole thing.
Three hours later there were reports of secondary explosions...........from my colon:eek::sicko:
I don't think I gleaned a fraction of the caloric energy from it:oops:.
Let me just say this, if anybody has a problem "going" I highly recommend the above recipe:rolleyes:.

Tony's Place Tomato Pie...because we went out to dinner with friends !!

They must have been weggie-tarians.
You ain't foolin' me. That's a pizza missing all the good stuff, like lots of meats and lots of cheese!

Edit: Wow that sure looks good! I'm seriously considering violating "Survivor Protocol" and calling in a Papa John's air-drop!

Well, I didn't cave and call in Papa Johns.

The radiation levels had finally dropped a little below 80 R/hr and since I had dosimeter pens in 3 different scales, I decided to venture out far enough to visit my next-door neighbor.
She had a surplus of homemade spaghetti sauce but had run out of spaghetti.
So I traded her a pack of spaghetti (I didn't have any meatballs or sauce to go with it) for a container of that heavenly homemade sauce.
Only picked up 30 mr of a dose and had to leave my shoes outside because the CDV-700 could pick them up from 3-feet away.
(this is fake)
Pulled out the last container of the chicken-mozzarella ravioli and went to town.
Decided I could live with 'almost-cheesy-enough' mac & cheese and used a good bit of the remaining Velveeta and a can of mushrooms to make it a meal:

Go get something to eat man!!!

You are probably right. Dinner is in an hour and 20 minutes here at the convention. No idea what we are having but I guarantee that it isn't going to be as good as ya'lls.
Will let you know what it is.
