@LadyLocust I’m with you, I loathe going to WM.
We stopped at the Safeway in Wenatchee this weekend to get food for the weekend and there was an entire aisle of what used to be alcohol I’m assuming- totally empty.

I can imagine things are more drastic on that side. At least they should be cheery drink buddy

Plumbing (PVC) fitting were picked clean at the local Lowe's. Rural King had what we needed.

I was at HD earlier today. Didn't browse as it's kinda like Wmart to me - would rather not go. But, I was surprised to see that it actually looked pretty well stocked. Again, they could have just moved stuff around or something, but didn't see the gaping holes I did last time I was there.

The wide silver metal tape that is wrapped around hvac ducts is no where to be found. I ended up wrapping a garbage bags around duct and holding with regular duct tape.

Put some of the sticky mice traps down, but the ate them. Little teeth marks all around the edges. I hope their jaws are stuck together.

Folks on a Jeep forum are complaining about tires being back ordered, with no guarantee of when they will be delivered.
I ordered and received mine this last spring when Backpacker mentioned it. I think all our rigs are in good shape w/ exception of travel trailer which I need to address.

I went to Aldi about 45 minutes before closing time and was surprised to see some empty shelves. The dairy friges were really empty. No cream cheese blocks to be found. There was very little for yogurt and other things in that area. I was only looking for the cream cheese, so I'm not sure what all they were out of, but it was very very noticable and a bit spooky. There were no refrigerated pickles. No large containers of raisins.....only the snack boxes. No wild rice. No honey mustard salad dressing. No whole mushrooms. Although, I still managed to spend $130 on 4 bags of groceries.

It looked like the TP isle was pretty well stocked, but I didn't go down that isle.

This is the most empty I've seen the Aldi here:(

I told the kid today to get his poop in a group.....and this was BEFORE I went to Aldi. He said he's already been stocking up on canned foods and even kitchen utensils, pans, and supplies. I told him anything that he can get now, he'd better get. I told him about the bank closures in Canada and warned him to get prepared for that too. He said his buddies are spending their money on PM's. I told him that's great, but right now he needs to concentrate on food and other necessities. He said his pantry is well stocked, but I told him to stock his basement closet too. He used to think I was nuts by getting things ahead of time, but there was no arguement from him today. He promised that he would go in and stock up on paper products this weekend. It seems that even the younger generation is seeing this coming too......

I noticed that the stores do not have saltine crackers. I saw a conversation in a group about saltine crackers. They are a challenge to find.
I've read about that also. I haven't eaten a saltine for eons (20 yrs???) so never think to look here.

What are PMs?

I think we have saltines here, now I'm going to have to look. I do have 3 boxes on the shelf, so there's that. Granddaughter just got back from work and said her boss was again raising the prices on the menu. She works day shift tomorrow, and she said she's sure going to hear it. The majority of the town eats there, the only burger place in town. The "meal" prices (special burger, fries, and drink) went up $3 tonight, and everything else single item up a buck. Geesh. Even the fried pickles. Cisco couldn't deliver onion rings, so they're out for awhile.

The last time I bought saltines they went rancid. We don't eat them much. But, hubs likes the triscuit crackers and we serve those with cheese and venison sausage for snacks when company comes over. I bought a couple of extra boxes of the Aldi brand when I was there. They had lots of different crackers, but I never even looked for saltines.

I love triscuits.
