Nope all I have is 3/4 in and 3/8 inch copper pipe from refrigeration /heating and air work.
im not going to ask what you need sheet copper for, nope not going to ask… LOL
A custom blacksmithed patio table: copper top w/ steel frame. Should be stunning if we can find the material. (I should clarify, for a client not for us. We have a patio set that is nearly 30 years old and holding 😋 )

I will check around and see what I can locate, what gauge copper do you need or does it matter?

Tires, I know that my son had to wait a month to get tires for his truck, nothing special, maybe 1 size up. neighbor had to wait 3 months for 2 11-16L tractor tires. I was looking for a turf tire for my Bucher TM850 , 3 weeks out and $300.00, ouch, so I bought a used ATV tire for $80.00, still a price, but it is in my yard. If your tires are questionable, might be time to look.

@Bacpacker mentioned tires this past summer. Hubby knew better than to roll his eyes when I ordered and got them. Les Schwab will mount them for free as long as they were purchased there - doesn't matter when. Glad I did from the sounds of it.

The Princess bought a new set of summer tires last fall for her car. I will have to let ger know she did good.

I have checked with all my suppliers and they all are telling me sheet copper is out of stock everywhere, sorry . If any get back to me I will message you a price and location etc.
Thank you. I have found 3 x 8 sheets which we will end up needing 3 sheets of in order to make it work - waiting for that quote

Hmm, copper sheet. Well, there is a business owner building a $4,000,000 "home" here. Theres a minimum of $300,000 so far of roof and trim work using copper. To be fair, he uses these builds to display what his company produces. I've talked with many of the contractors around here and they are booked solid through the end of the year and beyond. Materials are 3 times higher than previously and climbing. Those they are building for seem to have no issue with cost and have very deep pockets. Shortages seem to only be affecting those without massive amounts of money on hand. Product is definitely available in most cases but to the "highest bidder" only. Lead times seem to average around 4 to 6 months on average for building supplies. Food is still good here with a few holes but I suspect in the next few months that is going to change.

I called a couple roofing places - no lucky. I have found the 3 X 8 sheets which we might have to make work - just more work. @Guardian Yes, here too in the construction field - more money than brains. Lot's of Varuka's "I want what I want, and I want it now." (Willy Wonka)

Having a hard time finding the type of motor oils that I use; 5-20, 5-30, 15-40 and 10-30. Couldn't find enough transmission/hydraulic oil for my tractor either. I need 10 gallons for a change and could only find 5 gallons, at $85 per 5 gallons. I'm pretty well stocked up on all the oil, air and fuel filters for most of my equipment for 2-4 years but short on oil.

Seems like I mentioned it somewhere, but sure could have been before you joined here: we get our oils from a local gas/oil co. in 30 gal (?) barrels for way cheaper than any of the auto places.

Imaginary food shortages, imaginary inflation, imaginary gas prices
Blame it on Trump, blame it on Covid, blame it on shipping containers, blame it on worker shortage, blame it on supply chain, blame it on Putin, blame it on Ukraine
Never a mention that our government overprinted the dollar and it caused inflation, and will cause hyperinflation. It's our governments fault, they have been very bad stewards of our money that we pay in taxes. But will the government people be affected by all of this? No way. They are major preppers. They have all the bunkers and all the food storage and ammo for continuation of government. They suck.

Oil seems to be getting scarce, it was available pretty much any where pre covid, now, to as easy, I don't much like shopping at walmart but the oil is a lot cheaper by the pail compared to most places. TDH tractor oil is very specialized, Engine oil, I would use 15 40 in anything in a pinch, but specialty oils will be a challenge, and when you do change the TDH in your tractor you should probably put the drain oil in clean buckets and keep it, slightly used beats none

went for mobnthly groceries today---id say shelves were down a good 30%, some places more. this is a super walmart in small town. lots of milk, not alot of differetn cheeses. very little pasta of any kind. little white rice but i found a couple bags of lentils. bean selection was slim.

no coconut oil of any kind, no avocado oil little olive oil but still some wesson oil. they had hams, little chick, no turkey except in deli for sliced. they had 7 packages of italian sausage, thats it.
prices were definitly up a good 20% or more since last month.

bread selection slim, few bags of bagels but this time they had my favorite bryers minty choc chip ice cream but small tubs. i

with biden talking publicly about very soon food shortages, i reckon things will start to get more interesting.

OK I work at Walmart. I'm actually in Money Services. However I have a friend who is in grocery. She was seeing bread shortages. She is saying she expects the price of food to go up not once but twice this year. Bread flies off the shelf here. This is why I told my mom we need to do things the way her mom and dad did them. Make yeast bread. If you can keep chickens and a cow (fill in the blank with any other farm animal) do it. If you can't get a cow get dehydrated milk. Grow food. Don't be afraid to save seeds. I actually told Mom if we get live plants I'm okay with it but I want my space to experiment with seeds and cuttings.

I am expecting a rash of panic buying after next weekend (government checks go out after 1st of the month) and then we will hear crying for public donations to hand out centers in the media....... I have my list for this mornings shopping trip, will report once that is complete.

I like @Mel comment about experimenting with seeds and cuttings, so many people in the post boomer generations have it in their heads that growing food is a very simple thing, just take a seed, drop it, in the ground, water it once, and poof it's ready to eat. I have decided that (for me at least) gardening has a long learning curve full of disappointments.

I follow some grocery trade news sites, and recently read some articles about the timeline of planned price increases. Manufacturers will be raising prices "significantly" in waves through mid summer (after that, who knows?)
