Whew, tuckered again. I had to clean my garage/shop and I still ain't done. What a mess.

I ordered a new carb and head for my string trimmer so I got that on, man, what a difference. Last year it would barely run, new carb and I'm back to 8000 rpm head speed, shewy does it ever cut through stuff again. Got to get my backpack blower out and running, lots of stuff to make disappear after trimming and mowing.

Ordered a wiring harness so I can put my brake controller in the Jeep, now to get a new tire and new lights on the trailer.
You and @Peanut could share labor on shop cleaning. :)

I ran some errands and then took a drive through the Ledges State Park. There is a shallow creek there that crosses and re-crosses the road in four places and I couldn't resist blasting through the water. It's a tradition to hit the creek as fast as you can and splash the little kids playing in the water...

Good ol' fashioned fun!!! Good for them.

Went into town today. Hashbrown ain't kidding about prices being higher then giraffe hoo hoo. A gal of floor varathane: $132.00. $92.00 for a gal of regular acrylic/latex paint.

Nooooo. We were going to run electricity to my barn next week. Guess the barn will stay in the 1800's a while longer.😟

I'm trying to catch up. I have to nap every couple of hours. Between my thyroid meds not seeming to work and the heat in the daytime it saps my energy.

Thus far this week (I think it was this week-- days blur together) I got some paint on clearance for my bedroom door. Mounting stuff for my mast pole arrived but I need some U-bolts.

Managed to keep the pups locked out (during daytime) for a couple hours but they figured out how to break through the barricade and get back in. They completely ruined my shoes so I had to get new ones and they are ankle huggers and put too much pressure on my ankles and tops of my feet. So I will have to break them in.

Younger cow let me scratch behind her ears and pet her. She's usually skittish but she was unusually affectionate with me. I got sweet feed for them. They didn't like the cheaper stuff so I got the stuff that was $1 more. From the grain in the puppy crap, looks like the puppies ate some of it too.

Visited my friend & found he'd thrown the poor little kittens outside. I cleaned their noses and picked burrs out of their fur. Friend's ex was trying to feed the baby yogurt with a large spoon (even large for adults). She tried to cram it into his mouth and he pulled back. I took the spoon and gently held it for him and fed him the entire container. Then she handed me a wet wipe. I dabbed his face-- he won't let her do it bc she nearly rubs his skin raw when she does it. He's almost 21 months and can't say a single word yet but he has figured out to act differently with me than with other people. He knows I don't play rough so he doesn't pounce on me like he does on my brother and my friend. His new favorite game is to jump at them so they flip him upside down and bounce him on a couch cushion. I'm worried about his lack of verbal development though.

Heat has been getting to me and I have a sink full of dishes to wash, trash to clean up, counters to wipe down, air fryer to clean, microwave to clean, & fridge to clean. I should get up and do it now while its still cool. Gets too hot in the house during daytime.

Have to reschedule today's cleaning job. My client's company is staying a few extra days. So I am HOME😃 today!! Moving a load of hay into the hay barn, going through my cleaning supplies in my truck, making chicken salad, vacuuming the house and pool! Then it's a POOL afternoon!! Got a nice long list of things to do, so will probably get into a few other projects too!!

Today we are going to finish building the parts for the greenhouse.
I still need to get a quick workout in and also finish up laundry as I have to head back up to start another work stretch tomorrow. This time its only 4 days though, and then I have 10 days off in a row. We are going to head up to Canada for a mini break for my hubs birthday in the middle of that, but definitely need to keep packing. We also are not going to be able to get our containers back to the property for a bit due to the mud, so we will need to find a place to store them for awhile.

Sounds like you and the hubs have it planned out well!! Take us to Canada with you😉😊!

Haha! I'm still debating applying for dual citizenship. My mom was born in Toronto, so I could. Just not sure what the tax ramifications of that would be!

I'm getting a worm farm. It's a small one, yes. Our compost is not breaking stuff down like I'd like and while I know this isn't going to solve that problem in the immediate future I can see what the worm farm will do and see if this is a long term solution as, from what I have read, if you can put it in the compost you can feed it to your worm farm. And it may be possible that they break it down faster than I realize. I already have red wigglers on hand.

After some work the snake cleared the blockage in the overflow line for the pond.

That should dry out the yard and down hill to the road. Took some pictures of the stuff I transplanted last year as requested by The Princess.

Both lilac bushes have some green coming out.

When I transplanted my elder 3 or 4 out of 10 sprouts died (don't remember exactly). But that was the last week of May. Don't worry though... All you need is one, in 2yrs you'll be cutting them back with a chainsaw. Most sprouts I get these days are from the roots, dozens every year. I bush hogged several of them last week.

----------

I ran to town for errands, needed to fill up all my empty fuel containers (30g). It'll be hurricane season in a few weeks. Been lucky the last few years so I'm due for storm damage. Picked up 200lbs of dog food. Stopped by the market for a few groceries.

Thanks.

I transplanted them in early fall and watered them all for a week or 2.

After more thought...

The 2 in question may be persimmon. The 2 persimmons still in the backyard nursery have not budded out yet so maybe it is too early for them.

I bought a pig in a poke today, Kabota L 2600 for $1200 it has just over 400 hours it was inherited from the gentleman’s father and has set for 18 months hopefully it fires right up. If it does it would be quite the bargain. I’ll drag it home this weekend.

I've been too busy to turn on the laptop for a few days. Helping a friend, housework and mostly gardening chores. And walking, of course. Will try to catch up tomorrow.
I was thinking about you - was going to give you another day or two before I pestered you :huggs:Glad you're well.

The last several days have had Estelle.
Have to get some picture frames for her Mother's Day Gift.
She drew me some pictures complete with sparkly glue, sequins.
She also drew me a picture of herself and me.
Looks kinda like me wild hair and all.
Been busy with my Mother's Day Gift, my son got me.
Digital picture frame.
Been busy with Dad.
Have unexpected company from out of state.
Thankfully they go home Friday.
Have done Dad's laundry, dishes, taken out his fishy smelling trash today.

Thanks! Just been so much to do. And daughter and one grandchild will be coming to visit in 2 weeks. For 10 days. So if I'm not around, I'm probably in the kitchen or garden or...

Seems that my grand daughter has a new puppy.
Hank/ Scout seems to like to chew off and eat ruby red sparkly flowers off Estelle's Ruby Red shoes.
He should be full.
He ate 12 sparkly ruby red flowers.
So today Estelle and I were coloring red flowers on pellon.
These flowers are about the size of a nickel.
So tomorrow I will put the sparkly red glitter on the flowers.
Then I will sew them on by hand back onto her shoes.
Should be interesting.

Do you keep a journal of the funny little moments like making glitter flowers for shoes because puppy ate all hers, or planting more carrots because they are orange, or untangling a ball of knots that she helped crochet & other sweet memories?
Also, good to see you 😁
