power is back on, no lambs
cold out ( mid 20s) but not horrible
Took me an hour to replug everything back into the electric, various solar and move things around in the fridges
Hope it doesn't go out again and we have to put it all back. Husband went to get more fuel, but looks like now we won't need it right away

Probably plowing the road again, and trying not to get stuck. It won't stop snowing.

Not that I'm complaining....I love being snowed in. Just surprising, we haven't had decent snow in years. I can't even find my snow shovel, haven't needed it for years and my wife just uses it to scoop up dog poop in the summer. Its probably leaning against a tree somewhere buried in snow.

Glad your power is back!

Where did the day go? No idea. School is already cancelled for tomorrow, snow should be coming in soon, temps dropping. Had more outside chores to do, then husband wanted me to "help" him assemble a shelf/cupboard type thing he wanted for his office for his solar tools. Ha I am no help. I do not assemble anything well. Now it's on the big table and he can give it a try tomorrow. My Florida sis called and we caught up with a long conversation. Time to get dinner going. Did get some house cleaning done.

Just got home from town. The road was slushy, then hard packed snow the closer we got to our road. As soon as we started up our road we got in to fog, really thick fog. Couldn't see our road through the fog. Mostly had to feel our way. We had lunch before we left town then stopped at the grocery store for a few things. More snow is coming tonight and tomorrow and Wednesday.

I always thought Dr appt were the time we had to be in the waiting room to WAIT.

Ben
Yes, that's why they request to come in 15 minutes early, which I did. I didn't start the timer until my actual appointment time. It wasn't a big deal we like our doctor here. Actually she's a PA. We don't have a real doctor in this county.

A not bad day ...even if its freezing cold
Did push snow off steps outside again

My friend Lisa phoned.
Funny how we always think the same way about things ☺️

Dane Girl didnt not want to go outside to pee

So... I did put my coat on and accompanied her..
She did a long long fast pee and she did run back to the door
I did open and she went sit on her bed
* I told her : Poor girl 🤗 !!
I did hug her and kiss her ..she was happy!

I ate for dinner: Shrimps and a bit of Farfalle in butter

I take it easy ..and stay up I guess until 11 pm
Then see if my bed is calling me 🤣

Stay warm !!!!

Dang I'm tired of snow and cold. Suppose to start warming up by the Thursday I sure hope. It's to late in the year to get winter. Suppose to be heading to spring. I'm listening for the BIG BOOMING VOICE that says build the ark! We have so much snow that if this stuff starts melting fast I'll be floating down the Mighty Mo to the Mississippi River to the sea.

No trouble making it to church yesterday, though attendance was pretty light. Most of the other churches cancelled. Went to Meijers for a few things after and spent the rest of the day camped by the fire watching old Columbo episodes. (Well, she was watching, I may have dozed off....). More snow and cold. Got about 10" additional over the weekend. I don't really mind, I've always loved winter, but my snowblower is giving me fits. Keeps dropping rpms and running poorly and really slows me down. I'm quite irritated with it, couldn't even finish the driveway down to the shed today, just too much fighting with it. I did order a new carb and hopefully I can figure out how to change it out. I have no idea if that will help but I don't know what else to try.
I did manage to clear out the garage area and out to the road, so my daughter could leave. Her little car was buried and wasn't going to make it out through the drifts. The winds picked up today so the driveway was drifting in as soon as I got it cleaned out.

Husband's solar generator project on a handtruck. 5kwh, can charge it from the wall or solar panels. I can move it easily even tho it weighs 130lbs for the battery and inverter. It has a yellow surger protector with six AC outlets. He is adding a DC-DC converter to power 12 volt appliances or 5 volt electronics.

Nice!

Congratulations on posting images.

Did Mr AH do the wiring?

Not much off from our backup system.

Going to bed shortly. Tomorrow is the beginning of winter apparently!!🙄 Talked to my dear friend today, it's her birthday! We text everyday, but it's always nice to talk!! The house has a lot of firewood in it, everything is as ready as it can be for the upcoming single digit temps and possible ice!! Add me to the "sick of winter" list!!

I did not post the images, he did. Ha. Just pressed the post button. Yes, he did all the wiring from a chair, I wheel it in his office and position it, bring him the tools he needs, that kind of stuff. I'm the gopher. I haven't used this one much yet, but do use the Oupes Mega 1 and Mega 2 quite a bit for fun. It's pretty cold in the garage where we solar charge the Millertech lithiums by the solar panels on the roof, so his next big thing is ground mounted solar panels with the connection running into our bedroom (probably) to connect and disconnect to charge easily. We have the Oupes portable panels, but I'm not going out in this weather with them. Ha.

We've had little to no sun for at least a couple months now, and even longer since we had a day above freezing. My solar panels have been covered with snow 90% of the time this winter so we're getting very little power from the sun. The backup generator has been starting 2 or 3 times a day now. It's programed to run for 4 hours each time or until the battery bank reaches Float. It's a great system fully automatic, and gives us all the power we need.
It's snowing tonight with heavy fog.

Slept like a rock for 7 hours. Got up at 2am. I'll more than likely take a nap here in a couple of hours. Sleep for another hour. Make breakfast

Have some laundry to do.
Have a tree cutting company coming this morning to take out 4 trees and haul the logs away today. Get them away from the house. Thats going to be noisy

Cleaning out the fridge today. I try to use up leftovers but somehow small amounts of things get shoved to the back and disappear.

Otto woke me up at 5 wining , he must have had to pee bad, some of it went on the floor on the way out!! Wow, that hasn't happened in a very long time. I did let him out yesterday evening, usually that is enough. He is acting weird too, I hope he is not sick. Gave him a can of chicken and a piece of ham to make sure he;s still eating, he is .
After Axel I am really worried now about anything odd with the dogs
Bad timing too, we have to go shopping today, have too , out of various things like milk, bananas , fresh veggies, plus I need to drop of eggs, books at the library, and get some colostrum replacer in case the sheep reject any lambs. There is always at least a few
Sometimes I really don't want to do this anymore and just sell up and sit on the beach somewhere in Europe where it is not a frozen hell all winter
