We named the Caddy , Miss Scarlet.

We haven't come up with one yet.

I could use some ideas..
It's just a black on black Vette.

Jim
Chicago, home of the black on black crime.
My buddy bought a 77 Vette when he retired. Now his knees, back, and neck hurt so bad he can't get in or out of it. I bet he hasn't driven it more than 4 times in the 5 years he has owned it.:(

It's got the 5.7 L, LT1 and th400 4 sp auto trans. Car only weighs 3200 lbs.

It's fun. Fast, lots of torque, top speed rated at 180 mph,
0 fo 60 is 5.2 seconds. Probably little faster because it has some mods and updates. Drives , handles incredible. Not a luxury smooth ride though.

Glad I won't be climbing in and out of it everyday....:)

I've had faster , but it's got plenty giddy up.

Just a fun car.

Jim
That’s so awesome! Never been in one myself but have drooled over them at the races. Love it! Congratulations!

Well, I've always been a car nut.
My love for them never ended as I got older.
Now I search ,sometimes for years, just to find exactly what I want. At the right price , so that it becomes an investment.
I found a 2005 Dodge Ram 2500 5.9 Cummins to build and play with, the truck is perfect bumper to bumper and is very fast and powerful...I love it drive it once a month at least.
I finally, after years searching found a 1990 Caddy Eldorado Biarritz with 20,000 miles on it , like new. I show it at cruise ins, or drive it at least once a month. Love it, only 500 were made like this one.
Now I found the Vette I wanted. Will show it at cruise ins this summer. It's immaculate 1994 LT1.
Just making some dreams come true , and hopefully leave some worth for my wife.

@Double R , you would love it, I'll take you for ride when you come see me.

@backlash , I got 2 new knees, or I wouldn't be able to get in and out. It's really not that bad.

I would LOVE that!

AWESOME Mo,
Glad your doing so good.
It gets easier by the day now.

Soon you'll be running around with no pain at all.

Jim
Hopefully it will get easier.
Both knees are swollen tonight.
What exercises I do for right knee, I also do with left knee.
Got up to 500 steps today so that was good.

I'm at Winterjam tonight with my daughter. It's like a music festival for Modern Christian bands and singers. There's about 10 or 12 bands playing tonight. Right now I don't really care for the band that's playing so I decided to check in on y'all. I can't even hear myself think, guess I didn't know Christian bands played music at volume levels that will damage your kidneys. My daughter is enjoying it though. Young whippersnappers and their loud music anyway!!!

Kinda like your parents said about your music in your younger days.
And I know what my parents said in my younger days with my music.

I take earplugs to concerts. It's only seldom that they go unused.
I thought about bringing them last night, but I also thought, how loud could a Christian/gospel concert be? A couple of the acts were loud enough that the music just turned into mush. I could hardly pick out the guitar from any other instrument, and the words were unintelligible. They definitely went a little overboard...

Just found out that two schoolmates suffered strokes on the same day last weekend. One is 47, the other 49 years old. We all went to the same church and high school. One was minor, he will make a full recovery pretty quickly. The other has a longer row to hoe, but she's up walking 3 days after the stroke.

Our health is fleeting. There's been some discussion of exercise and general health here lately, let's keep that going and motivate each other. The Good Lord hasn't promised any of us we'll be here tomorrow...I don't want to read than any of us are no longer here...

Sorry about your old classmates Spkie.
And I totally agree with you on the taking care.

We are still unpacking boxes from the move and from our trip to Disneyland at Christmas. I just finished filling out the progress report for the second quarter of school for Roo. Those are due at the end of the month. I figure I needed to get them done since the third quarter is half way over. Homeschooling Roo is proving to be a challenge. That girl would rather spend her time looking for ways to cheat than actually getting the work done. She would spend 30 minutes cheating on her multiplication worksheet but if she actually tried she would be done in 5 minutes. GRRRRR!

I am debating if I should stop replacing sheets for my bed that need new elastic (and a patch here or there) and just fix the old ones. I always get my sheets on clearance so I am not paying full price but maybe its time to mend and make do.

The joys of raising children sometimes.:dunno:. At about age 50 they back into 'childhood' at times.

Glad to see you back Grimm.:welcome::huggs:

Mornin', everybody.

My ears are ringing from that concert. If I go with my daughter again next year, I'm bringing earplugs for sure...

It can damage your ears alright. Some theatres are the same way. I had to leave one the sound was so loud it actually hurt my ears and chest. It was a horrible movie anyway, " 300'.

Walking with cane this morning, trying to find my stride.
Sipping coffee, watching it snow.
Will be exercising off and on all day.

You'd be surpriesed what you can just sitting down in a chairMoBook. I know your glad to get up and get going.:)

Had my coffee.

Checked on local news..

My friend Doc called , wants to meet for lunch at noon in Mayfield , about 45 minute drive..

It's rain rain raining again, 42 deg and can't do much else , so ...off to lunch in a few.

Jim
Jim a good doctor is a nice thing to have . There out there just have to find them. I think we have one here thats a good one too' DrPepper:cool:

Roo decided to take the day off of school. We all kind of need it. But she has to make it up tomorrow morning. She understands this and agreed.

I have started bargain hunting for fourth grade curriculum. I bought next year's bible curriculum at a third of the cost. I figure saving money means I can put the savings towards 'field-trips' and supplies. I have all the paper, pencils etc I will need for years to come but science tools and equipment are lacking. I want a microscope for next year and a telescope.

Battling tiny micro ants in the kitchen. I know what they are after and I keep the sink clean but they still want to try. I had them on the run yesterday with peppermint oil but they are back this morning.

Spike its always something, huh? Hope it gets fixed soon.
Yesterday we had a leak in our well tank, pressure was not good in the house. Hubby put JB Weld on it fixed for now anyway.
When pressure tanks didn't have rubber bladders in them, old and sometimes rivetted galvanized tanks, people used to repair them with sheet metal screws. JB Weld is really strong stuff, it's basically epoxy but it's one of the better ones.

Little granddaughter went back to school today, and I didn't get a phone call to pick her up. She was debating after hearing that we were going out to breakfast. But, no fever for 24 hrs, and I suspect the cough is going to hang on for quite a while. After breakfast, I went to the SS office to wait with husband. He's adding on Pt B on March 1st. Only an hour wait. Expected worse. Pizza tonight, and family movie. They're watching Holes, since little granddaughter finished the book.

Glad she is improving.
Daughter said the little bad hair toddler is going strong. She handed him his new toothbrush while she was with him and she turned her back fro a few seconds and he was removing tissue from tiolet with it.:eyeballs:. Shes at wits end and said not sure how much more of the 3 plus her almost 15 yr old son she can take.
Plus her Paris Hilton wannabe daughter is adding to wedding tab in May.:fun fun:
