My Pops has a small "orchard" - a couple plum trees, two cold weather peaches, two pears, two cherries, and two apple trees. Along with 8 blueberry bushes, an early raspberry patch and a late raspberry patch, a strawberry patch, and a couple dozen wild asparagus patches. It's way more work than you'd think it would be. There's always something going wrong, netting to put up or take down, a fungus or a disease...and the yield is either nothing, or so much you can't use it all.

Just found out that two schoolmates suffered strokes on the same day last weekend. One is 47, the other 49 years old. We all went to the same church and high school. One was minor, he will make a full recovery pretty quickly. The other has a longer row to hoe, but she's up walking 3 days after the stroke.

Our health is fleeting. There's been some discussion of exercise and general health here lately, let's keep that going and motivate each other. The Good Lord hasn't promised any of us we'll be here tomorrow...I don't want to read than any of us are no longer here...

There happens to be a thread on here about the benefits of keto and intermittent fasting... Just saying.

The stove I ordered seems to have gotten lost in a place called "Shipping Land". No one at the big box store could tell me exactly where "Shipping Land" is located. They indicated it's somewhere between their store and a place called "factory".

I was told there was no need to worry, they sent their best and brightest to search for "Shipping Land" and to see if my stove can be located. Further... I will be updated every step of the way! I feel warm and fuzzy now! o_O

We are still unpacking boxes from the move and from our trip to Disneyland at Christmas. I just finished filling out the progress report for the second quarter of school for Roo. Those are due at the end of the month. I figure I needed to get them done since the third quarter is half way over. Homeschooling Roo is proving to be a challenge. That girl would rather spend her time looking for ways to cheat than actually getting the work done. She would spend 30 minutes cheating on her multiplication worksheet but if she actually tried she would be done in 5 minutes. GRRRRR!

I am debating if I should stop replacing sheets for my bed that need new elastic (and a patch here or there) and just fix the old ones. I always get my sheets on clearance so I am not paying full price but maybe its time to mend and make do.

I can't do intermittent fasting, and I've been strongly advised not to do the keto diet by my doctors.
My endocrinologist does Keto and intermittent fasting. She highly recommends it to her patients with thyroid issues.

As a Type 1 diabetic, fasting is somewhat dangerous, and I rely on a somewhat steady carb intake to regulate my blood sugar. Keto could be done, but ketosis is something I'm trying to avoid, not encourage...

True. You could try timed eating. Eating your meals in a set time frame can have the same health effects as fasting but way more controlled. Carbs that are high in fiber can be your best friend for both your blood sugar and general health.

My log splitter said "Shipping Land" is in a place called Albuquerque. Its a big warehouse where lost things go to get found. Eventually. Hopefully...:D

Brought this home last night,
Spent some time with it today.

Lol I know how it works. I've been doing this for 32 years now. ;)

Nice, real nice

Thanks Mo,
It's 26 years old.
Just a toy for the wife and I to take out once a month to local cruise ins.

Be gentle with her, Jim. Tires are expensive.

I had to play a little , :Dbringing it home last light.
:green man:

I think each tire is over $500... The tires are brand new ...I won't be too hard on it
:)

But it's like a rocket getting on the interstate.

Got a few chores done this morning.
Then had couple of hours of Physical Therapy at the local hospital this afternoon.
PT appointment started at 1330 hours finished at 1530 hours this afternoon.
Supper was fast food from Sonic.
Didn't have much get and go after got home this afternoon.
It left during Physical Therapy.
Have maxium of 15 PT visits got 14 left after today's evalutation.
95% bendable already, with 3-6 degrees straightening left to do.
Hopefully will be better next week on MWT.
Physical Therapist and I both agree I won't be there for the whole 15 visits.
See Surgeon on 21 Feb 2020, for 30 out from surgery followup.
Tired tonight.

That'll get you to and back from the farmers market in lightning speed...

What's it got in for motor and tranny?

It's got the 5.7 L, LT1 and th400 4 sp auto trans. Car only weighs 3200 lbs.

It's fun. Fast, lots of torque, top speed rated at 180 mph,
0 fo 60 is 5.2 seconds. Probably little faster because it has some mods and updates. Drives , handles incredible. Not a luxury smooth ride though.

Glad I won't be climbing in and out of it everyday....:)

I've had faster , but it's got plenty giddy up.

Just a fun car.

AWESOME Mo,
Glad your doing so good.
It gets easier by the day now.

Soon you'll be running around with no pain at all.

I'm at Winterjam tonight with my daughter. It's like a music festival for Modern Christian bands and singers. There's about 10 or 12 bands playing tonight. Right now I don't really care for the band that's playing so I decided to check in on y'all. I can't even hear myself think, guess I didn't know Christian bands played music at volume levels that will damage your kidneys. My daughter is enjoying it though. Young whippersnappers and their loud music anyway!!!
