Wife got her skanks .

All chores were done yesterday.

Today is a definitely stay inside day.
It's 94 deg on front porch and humidity beyond miserable.

Will be having a couple Ribeyes, on the grill by the back door , for lunch.

The mutt ain't crazy about running much in this heat.
So will let him rest today.

Bored.

Jim

Yeah, @phideaux, I'm kinda bored. Just walked around outside with the terminator. I hate having to call in for reinforcements. Also dislike being kind of mislead by the sales pitch. We'll see how things progress or improve. Lots of insects means lots of lizards, toads, birds, which I love, but when you start to see unidentifiable wildlife as well as snakes running all over a teeny tiny splotch of a backyard, it might be time to do something about it. Like a freaking smorgasbord here. Party at Patchouli's!
Everything was fine until ...
Sentry, that's good your kids have decent friends (I hope, you didn't say) and your home is one where no harmful weirdness prevails to negatively influence your guests. (I did word that carefully). lol I'm glad I don't have to go through that anymore. I really didn't like having other people's kids at my house.

Saying goodbye to our youngest daughter was hard this morning. She'll arrive in Tucson in her new place and ready to start her new job at about 6 tonight, just in time to unload before 8 pm curfew.
What is the terminator, Patchouli?
We've had two snakes in our yard (bull snakes) this week. I have a snake catcher, and we toss them elsewhere so the dogs don't rip them up. My nephew in OK just posted a picture of a copperhead they found. Chopped the head off, put the body in the freezer. He wants to make a wallet for his wife out of the skin.

Amish, a pest extermination company. I do not like handling the products, etc. etc. I do not like having to use it. We get ants in the house and quite bad in the front yard. Noticed a different kind recently, as well as the ones that have always been here. They're not tiny and they move really fast all the time. In the house we sometimes don't see them for weeks, then there they are, drinking the water, eating the crumbs. The guy who treated things today said I need to move the wood pile, it is very small, farther away from the house. Pull all vegetation away from the house. Clean my gutter in the one spot cuz I've got a garden growing in it. haha very funny. Scorpions could be attracted by the insects too. Great.

Strawberry and I have walked the block three times before 7:39.
We try to walk before it starts to get hotter and more humid.
She then walked with her new "free" dog walker for another hour this morning.
She now resting, grand daughter has just left.
So far this morning, have deboned 10 pounds of cooked leg quarters.
Now have 6 (12 oz) containers of chicken in the freezers.
Also have chicken bones simmering on the stove top for broth.
Which I will can up in pint jars.
Got 2 cups of brown rice simmering away on stove top.
Will be putting together home made tv dinners with the chicken, rice, veggies.
Got chicken, frozen vegetables going in crock pot which will become :
chicken, veggies and noodles soup, chicken, veggies, dumplings, chicken potpie.
Reading forums,resting, drinking diet coke.
Checking on everything simmering on the stove top.
Strawberry and I will walk again this evening.
When sleeping last night had muscle spasms all night.
My legs were telling me slowly get back in the walking groove.
Oh yeah
Got hot rolls rising too.

Even though it was windy today I did go for a short walk around the property. I found this tiny arrowhead. It is the smallest I have ever found.

Nice bird point... because of the soil type here bird/small game points are fairly common but not in quartz... Nice!!!

Edit... noticed something else... around here bird points don't have a tang at the bottom for attaching a shaft. The center is usually hollowed somewhat.

Walked this morning, then took Peanut Butter (in photo) to beauty parlor for bath and haircut. While she had her spa day, I went to one thrift store and Tractor supply (more garden stakes). Brought the Princess home and went out and pruned all the big tomato plants, then found recipes for 4 canning projects. Got jars from shed and put in dishwasher and got out ingredients to make Caramel Apple Butter tomorrow (crock pot), before I go to Church.

Listening to the radio and hearing nothing but praise about how peaceful the protest are here i n the twilight zone.
Got some things done this week and a little exercise.
Now been in isolation for over 3 months.I did got to the local store 4 times since march 3nd for cigaretts.Other than that its been delivery.

So far today we have washed up the dishes, cleaned the benches and I wiped them and put them away. About to take in the clean laundry off the clothes line which is a lot of the new clothing I purchased.

DH is having a nap and then we will separate the sausages into meal sized portions for the freezer, do sacrament and scripture study and harvest our snow peas and cherry tomatoes. Likely then we will blanch and freeze the peas into meal sized portions for the freezer.

Then nice warm showers for the afternoon.

Other than the standard Sunday activities and events, I am going to smoke a turkey breast and a picnic ham which I will then thin slice up for lunch meat. Might also throw some sausages on there for later in the week. Got a package yesterday of XL brown jersey cotton gloves and some 2XL nitrile gloves so I don't need to use grill tools when working with the large cuts of meat. Ironically I also got my new grill tools.

Dauhter and her husband [she told Gestapos that she was leaving the 3 kids with their mother for A WHOLE WEEK and they could do whatever.A miracle, they said ok. ] are at the beach watching giant waves from Hurricane Crystalabal crash onto shore.
She said her exzema is already better and the quite is so great.

Last few days have been hot and humid so not much got done. Stayed inside with the ac going. But last night the front moved through and its absolutely beautiful out today. Low humidity, not a cloud in the sky and a breeze blowing. So nice.
Already been out weeding the large garden bed and planted 2 more rows of green beans and watered them in.
Made our breakfasts
Have hubby laundry going
Young fella is over changing the oil in hubby's army trucks
Hubby is putting an ac in the garage through one of the walls so we don't have to take the bars off the window.
I haven't decided what to make for supper yet. Might go for crab cakes and french fries
Thinking of going to the local grocery tomorrow morning. They have chicken on sale and pork roasts are BOGOs( and I'm really hungry for a watermelon and theirs is only $3.99 each)
Supposed to be nice again tomorrow so I'm planning on doing the floors
Hubby finished the rails and put the top on them so the house remodeling is officially over. I'm glad its done and it should last us the rest of our lives here.

Next up he plans to put metal roofs on 2 of his sheds that have shingles on them.

Looking good .

Strawberry and I have already walked this morning a couple of times.
She has walked with her "free" dog walker for 50 minutes.
We will walk again when or if it cools off later today.
Will fix something lighter and cooler for lunch.
Thinking chicken salad.
Will be working crocheting grand children's Christmas blankets today.
Also working on children's cross stitch quilt blocks.
Patch, I already take magnesium and potassium.
Nothing much going on, trying to stay cool if I can.

@MoBookworm1957 ,
I bought some of that Theraworx , I got the foam instead of spray.
Specifically for muscle spasms.

I m not a big believer in topical ointments.

I can tell you, apply this stuff when the spasms start.... immediate relief.

It works for me.

Jim
Thanks Jim,
Will get some immediately.
Or as soon as my car gets back anyway.

Going to set a kindness trap up in the yard somewhere.
Otherwise, Laundry, tech stuff, cook something delicious for dinner. Maybe go see the grandkids. They are always so happy to see me.
Mobookworm, I hope your legs feel better soon.
WVdragonlady, you're making me miss the Virginias. . .
Meerkat, what's going on with the storm? Are you being effected?
