In our area, it's cockroaches and mice. Some snakes, especially this time of year. Have to watch the new litter of rabbits with snakes. We had vegetation growing in our rain gutters, too. Little Chinese elm trees. Ha. They are a nuisance here.
There were Chinese elm all over my yard when I bought my house. I did a lot of digging to get rid of all of them.
Even though it was windy today I did go for a short walk around the property. I found this tiny arrowhead. It is the smallest I have ever found.

That arrowhead is very interesting. I wonder if that is made from milky quartz? Have you found others in your area?
Listening to the radio and hearing nothing but praise about how peaceful the protest are here i n the twilight zone.
Got some things done this week and a little exercise.
Now been in isolation for over 3 months.I did got to the local store 4 times since march 3nd for cigaretts.Other than that its been delivery.
I am curious about your plan for the future of going grocery shopping. I think I am going to go myself in a day or two. I've been to Costco and Asian market, but think it is time to go to my local grocery store. I have only gone in briefly, once, since early March.
Going to set a kindness trap up in the yard somewhere.
What is a kindness trap?

I'm not sure yet but we too have been thinking about it then the news is saying Corona is back in some places and doubling but I don't know what to think.
80% of me thinks its all a big lie but then not sure. We've left 4 times since March 3nd to go to local convienc store that seldom has even one customer and he had a shield around his whole counter.Hubby goes in with gloves, mask I wait in van with gloves, bag and bio wipes wipe down carton, empty cigs out of carton into bag, leave out fro couple days on porch. We go for asort ride while we'er out.
I feeel like once we get brave is when it will be the real thing they have been lying about.

Ends up it was "operator error",I didn't pull the levers in simultaneously and you have to on that mower or it'll kill it. I felt like such a dweeb,I should have read the instructions on the label between my feet :blow up:lil loser.
Nice to see you squirrelhunter.
You'll get it eventually.
I got faith in you.
Besides if my 83 year old dad can finally learn how to read directions on his zero turn mower, I'm just as sure you can too.

You shouldn't feel bad. If the instructions had begun with "Hey Dweeb", of course you would have read them. Otherwise it's just rude to read instructions written for someone else.

Came home from work and made hubby icecream, then fixed supper, did dishes, a load of wash, and did the ironing. I’m done.
@squirrelhunter that sounds like something I would do. Glad it was an easy fix though.
@phideaux Your garden looks great!
@MoBookworm1957 Bet Strawberry is doing well with her extra walker helping out.
@snappy1 I’m thinking your church is a significant part of your “family”. Bet it was good to see some folks again.
@Spikedriver At least those places aren’t too far from home so the travel time will be less. Get some rest.
@dademoss Is it your birthday 🎂 If so happy day!

I hope it was a short sickness, @Terri9630 and you're feeling a little better today, if not completely better.
@Weedygarden I picked it up at wally world, in the poison spray section. Less than $10. For catching rodents like mice, voles, rats. They can get in, but they can't get out. You can take them away from the area and release them instead of killing them. It includes sticky glue paper if you'd rather they get stuck and die that way.

I hate handling neck breaker traps. Not sure I like how this kindness trap opens to release the critter. A friend recommended this as she had mice living in her vehicle.

Top of a large tree snapped and is hanging by a little bark, will not take much to bring it down. Thought I should get it on the ground before it falls and injuries someone. Looped a tow strap around a "Y" branch, then other end of tow stopped to the tow hook on my truck. A gentle tug and limb is still hanging. A more forceful tug, still there. Well I don't want the strap to come back though the truck windshield, I got an idea, I'll try tugging from a different angle...nope. Truck end of the tow strap to a come-a-long that is chained to a different tree! I've got the limb stretched out inline with the tow strap, still isn't coming down. Time to stop messing around! I bring out the chain saw! I cut the limb back as high as I can reach from the ground. Then a hard tug with the truck results in tree bark being pealed back as the limb moves about 6 feet. More chainsaw work, another truck tug, nothing! Limb isn't moving. On to Plan C. I put two saw horses under the tree. I tell the wife that there is a large tree limb caught in the tree by her garden. DON'T GO PASS THE SAW HORSES! GO AROUND THE TREE FROM THE OPPOSITE SIDE!!!! She nods in understanding.

I could get the extension ladder out. Climb into the tree. Reach around the tree trunk with the chain saw and cut what little bark that is keeping the limb from falling. As long as I keep the rotting trunk between me and the limb...naw...I don't bounce as good as I once did. I'll let nature bring is down.

If that makes you are "dweeb" what does that make the True Value folks that you called for help and they determined it was the kill switch?

We had bad storms come through yesterday. I went out early this morning with the chainsaw to clear up some downed limbs. That project went well and I was feeling good about the start to my day.:great: Then I noticed one of my plastic rocking chairs had blown into the pond. With a small anchor and a long line, I snagged the rocker and pulled it onto the bank. Once again I was feeling like my day was moving along just fine.:woo hoo:
I got into the golf cart, grabbed the rocking chair with my right hand and headed back to the dock where the rocker belonged. Just before I got to the dock the rocker slipped out of my hand......I ran over it with the back tire and broke it into four pieces. Instead of going to the dock, I threw the rocker into the back of my pickup truck:pickup: to carry it to the dump. Then I came inside and got on this website. Thanks for letting me vent.
It Is Gonna Be A Good Day. :dancing:

Perfect sunny day with a slight breeze and our power went off. Guessing a driver hit a power pole. Went online to report our outage. Our Internet equipment is powered from a UPS, got about two hours of battery backup. Waiting for the wife to gather her things........................................................so I can pull the release on the door opener and open the garage door for her....................................................................................done.

True I guess,I'm just surprised the guy across the road didn't think of it since he drives zero turns for a living. But from what everybody's saying,I guess most zero turns have a separate lever that disengages the emergency switch, they're not in the levers for moving forward and reverse.

Me too. If I had brought it to the warranty guy and he couldn't find anything wrong with it I really would've felt stupid.

Luckily the labels on the mower are in English, the manual that came with it is in Portuguese

HOLY COW! Literally.

So we get a call today that our cow has been selected and is being processed. Then they scared us. When we bought our half a cow the producer said the average hanging weight was 720lbs, of which half would be 360lbs. Post processing they estimated we would be looking at 230lbs or so of beef. Well the cow that came up next in the chute was apparently some kind of super mega cow as the hanging weight was over 900lbs. They are estimating 295lbs of take home weight and said it could top 300lbs. 😮

Now the price we got was amazing and this producer is considered to be the best around for quality of beef, we were just not anticipating the extra 70lbs or so of meat. And so far our freezer space is not opening up near as quickly as we need it to. The good news is that one of my Lieutenants has a second chest freezer that is almost empty and he lives with only his wife (no kids). So he said if we need to rent the freezer from him he would only charge me two nice steaks and one smoked turkey breast. Pretty sure I will be taking him up on the offer.

Extra meat is always a welcome surprise.
I'd take your Lieutenant up on his offer too.

Took shoes I bought yesterday back today.
Got refund.
Besides that just working on Christmas projects.
Strawberry and I walked this morning.
Strawberry and her "free" walker walked not quite an hour this morning.
No breeze, the air is heavy.
Woke up it was drizzling.
Hope you find good fitting shoes soon - might try a "ranch and home" type store???
@The Lazy L You should train your limbs to fall away from power lines and transformers 😂
