I cleaned up in the kitchen & changed the HVAC filters. I need to clean the grille for the filter that goes in my brother's room (we have two intakes for the AC that take 20"x20" filters- 1 in the hallway & 1 in my brother's room). He won't clean it so I'll have to do it. He keeps complaining about how awful the house is but has zero self-awareness that maybe if he actually cleaned up after himself and helped take care of things it wouldn't be bad. His solution is to move out but he can't afford to do that. If he moved out he wouldn't just have rent- he'd have to pay for his utilities, food, internet, etc. He doesn't even make enough for rent much less the other expenses.
I also decided to turn off two of the ceiling fans that I realized were spinning the wrong way. Once they stopped I flipped the switch to make them spin the correct way.
I'm relaxing and window shopping now (literally shopping for windows- replacement vinyl ones). Told my friend he can have the old windows. They are metal & not energy efficient, but he has wooden ones that are rotting. As soon as I mentioned it, my friend said he could replace his kitchen window.
Snappy, carrot cake jam sounds delicious. Depends on the type of squash. We used to bake butternut squash and mix it with butter & it was sort of like sweet potatoes. Other types of squash can be baked too I suppose. I want to know how Outback cooks their veggies because they have very good ones. I normally don't like squash that much, but they have the cooking & seasoning just right. Plus I love their bread. Steak is only so so though. Wish I could get veggies & bread from Outback & steak & bread from Texas Roadhouse (well, I *could* if I wanted, but it's not cheap).
I've not done this so consider it a question as much as a suggestion~Carrot cake jam turned out good, but... I haven't made any jam or jelly in a long time and I put the sugar in first, then had to mix the pectin with cold water and heat it separately, then add it to jam.
Did long video this morning because of rain, no walk. Got big pork roast in slow cooker for carnitas, Have third load of laundry in washer, Getting ready to sweep house, since rugs are being washed. Have 5th Bible study to do so I am ready for Church tonight. Also need to write about 3 eBay drafts today.
But really, any ideas??? (besides pickles and relish) to can zucchini and yellow squash. That is how I have to preserve most all from the garden.

If you clean it and cook it, could you can it like pumpkin? (Winter squash vs. summer squash) I've dehydrated zuke before but then just added it to soups etc. for a little extra in the soup.
Gee I wish I had some claymores.
Naps are good!Had a doc appt. this morning for thyroid refills and blood work. Then stopped at local grocery (everything was in stock), thrift shops and day old bread store. Home now and haven't found the ambition to do exercise video, but I will. Need to dust today and that may be it. Not much sleep again.
