Worked in my new shop today. Moved my metal lathe today. It was a slow process because I was working alone. One part was rather dangerous so I had my wife watch just in case something went wrong. But I got it done with neither me nor the lathe getting hurt. The rest of the day it was finding spots for more of my tools, equipment, and parts.
When I get closer to done I will post a couple pics (it looks a mess right now).

Did the first mow on field I have today. It might be weird but I think a fresh cut field is beautiful......I just love making things in nature look good!

What kind/size lathe do you have? Does it have a lead screw?

I had a boss who made every faculty meeting 2 hours long, while union rules said 40 minutes. She would have made them longer, but the building locked up at 6:00 pm and there was no more time. I never went to a meeting without something or several somethings to do with my hands--cutting, coloring, pasting, sorting of manipulatives... What a waste of time those meetings were. Little was relevant.

Went to town. Got deep tissue. Looked at E Mails, wont go back to "The Dark Side" till Wednesday. Sinus Infection is back. DR gave me a course of Antibiotics just in case. So Im taking them, He gives me stuff to keep on hand. I think Ill have a couple beers and rest.

The GM of a factory I worked at loved to hear himself talk. Incessantly.
At length.
I found a book in an airport store that I bought for him. The title was "Say it in Eight. The secret of the 10 minute meeting." He didnt think it was to funny! Haha!

@Terri9630 found a pod of dolphins and hitched a ride to protect me from sharks :thumbs up: . Might be awhile longer though it is a long way to swim but I did qualify for the Olympics in swimming previously so a pretty good swimmer fortunately. Thanks for the invite to dinner I might just eat you out of house and home by the time I have finished deep cleani:Dng @NannyPatty 's house though :D .
You'll get really fat if you manage to eat through the pantry and 3 freezers.

Well as of this morning, hubby has trapped and disposed of 1 possum and 3 young skunks who had been coming into the garage and eating all the cat food. We'll keep the live trap up until nothing else goes in. I guess we had a litter of stinkers born close by.
Going to see our grandkids concert this afternoon. It will be our oldest grandsons last high school concert. He's off to college in the fall.
How far are you from Cleveland Gumps?

yesterday we helped oldest daughter get aporch for the back of her house. played with great grandboys. then grandson who is working on the pipeline in texas came home and took us all out to lunch. all in all a wonderful day wish they could all be like that.

It is one of those cheaper China lathe/mill combinations (Smithy). It works ok and I bought it new in about 1988-89. I have owned two other lathes in the past but this one is the one I have always used the most and the only one I currently have. It can only handle lengths up to about 22"

Need to start getting packed! On our way out to Denver for most of the week for husband's medical. Our kids will be wrangling the twins this week, so I hope the house is still standing when we get home.
@Amish Heart have a safe trip

Been busy trying to find and order testing equipment to diagnose the Ranger and I think I've finally gotten it all ordered so now it's a matter of waiting on it to get here. So in the meantime,uh I'm not sure what I'm going to do,maybe I'll go out and check the front end on the other Ranger....or maybe take it easy since it is Sunday.....hmm,decisions decisions.....gotta love retirement :doghouse:

Got it all feathered in with peat moss. Just waiting on plants to show up and deciding what's going to go where! I see stuff and buy it because I'm sure it will be useful and will enhance the beauty of my place but don't always know where it's going to go untill I sit down and see what it takes for each specific plant to grow best. I think I'm getting good enough at it. Nothing has croaked yet!....

@Justin76 no good that you and your wife have been sick, send your wife our love and tell her we hope she gets better soon.

Thank you for your thoughts,
Everyone is good now, must have been a quick 36 hour bug.
Really takes the energy right out of you though. My poor wifes back is sore from not being able to keep anything down.
Luckily my wife made a big pot of chicken and chinese ham broth soup when I was sick and right before she came down with it.
That held us over for two days without having to try and cook.
Feel 90% better,
Still drained but I think a bit of exercise and solid food should fix us right u again.

You forget how much a stomach bug whoops your butt .

I adore HUGE gardens.
They make my heart happy.
I have gone through hungry times so I'm VERY focused on food production and storage.

That's a good reason to want a garden!! Plus you don't have to put up with waxed veggies. I don't know what's in that wax.
Arrived in Denver. It was so warm this morning when we left New Mexico, that I forgot my coat. Not so here....
Husband's got a full day scheduled at the hospital here tomorrow. Ordering in Chinese food to our hotel. But...tomorrow evening am looking forward to dinner with Weedy Garden! Looks like the place for supper is right across the street from our hotel, Weedy.

Sweet! Looking forward to having dinner with you and your husband.

It did cool down here today. I am wondering if I can loan you a coat while you are here?

Thats nice. Only one person online has been invited here. Most are not that close or visiting Florida and we told them PM us and drop by if they liked. I pretty much know this person is safe because they have been at PS for years.
Yall have a great visit.

I'll probably manage with layers of sweaters, but thanks! Will be in the hospital and back at the hotel and maybe not much else. Although husband is hoping to maybe stop in at Ham Radio Outlet...we'll see if he has time! I love the Bass Pro Shop here! You've got good shopping here, Weedy!
I have been to the Ham Radio Outlet, but not the Bass Pro Shop. I am not much of a shopper, but I do know there are many opportunities to find what you might need.
