Got about half way round the trail on my walk, smoke was too bad to go further, yes I smoke but whatever he is burning is breath taking. Without burning plastic building materials I can walk all the way around the trail.

@Terri9630 That's a great pix. Ruby has her kid back 💖
We had locust thorns up the mountain - those are no joke either.
Took the bronco yesterday and dropped more off at donation. I didn't realize they can't accept cribs. I knew no car-seats, mattresses, etc. didn't realize no cribs. So I took it and put it by the road at work w/ a FREE sign on it. It was gone within an hour. Every time I take a load away it feels better :) Hoping to sell the tractor soon. Funny since making the decision to sell it, now its being here is bothersome to me. I want it gone (Ha!) I like to look at decluttering like loosing weight - you know how much weight we will lose if it and all its implements go? Will clean up our drive/parking area also. And will be that much less to move whenever that day comes. Once I make sure everything has actually saved off the old computers those will go and be less clutter also - Wahoo! Watch out, I'm on a roll - heehee.

Good morning!
Already paid bills.
Rainy morning here, so will walk and walk dogs after 1 pm.
Will study and/ or start paperwork for personal representative.
Will write a few eBay drafts.
Quiet day!

@MoBookworm1957 , don't you need a service dog? Are you ok without one?
Strawberry is my Service Dog.
My Doctor's, Service Dog handler have been notified.
None are happy.
Strawberry has been my Seizure Service Dog since 29 December 2014.
My handler is trying to find me small ankle biter Seizure Service Dog.
Maybe a Yorkie, something that is calmer, not so hyper.
Thank you for asking Snappy.

Grand daughter Estelle has been here today.
We went up on the square to walk through the Mushroom Festival.
We walked over a mile, she walked the whole way with Granny.
Wasn't much up there.
Everything that was there was way overpriced.
Poorly made junk.
Estelle and I put together another raised bed.
She helped me put the landscape fabric into the bottom of it.
Then we came in the house, had a popiscles, she had a nap in Granny's arms.
Then we went to check the mail.
I buckled her into her car seat and off they go.

Oh dear~ she is your buddy. It saddens me to think what children (& adults) do. That's a rock and hard spot for sure. Hope both you and your dad get to feeling better. At least Strawberry is with folks she knows & loves and gets to see you - and vice versa. Little E must be thrilled. You never know what will happen, and I pray it all works out for both of you - should say all of you.
Strawberry woke all 3 kids this morning with a slurp.
So nobody was grumpy this morning before school.

I did absolutely nothing today, rested, took a nap, rested some more. Weird dream, elderly Japanese couple next door got murdered... Except I've never lived next door to a Japanese couple in my life. Must have been the Cop drama on tv.

Dad brought over his Burgess seed catalog, upset. Said his check cleared long ago and he still hasn't gotten his order.

The check cleared 3 weeks ago today... On the website it says 3 to 5 weeks for delivery/processing. Seems the matter is still within stated shipping times. Their phone number is constantly busy... hey, its springtime. He'll probably get his order before I get someone on the phone. I guess I'll call again next week, make him happy.

Today we were interviewed by cats at a local shelter. Adriano (Name subject to change) chose us and came home.

Left work at 1, had some errands to fun, then dropped the dog off where we board her when we're out of town. Worked out in the garden till about 7:30 and loaded some stuff in the truck. Bout ready to crash. Likely to be off line the next few days. Ready to have some down time and unwind a bit.
You and Mrs. enjoy your time BP.

Terri, I'm glad she made it through the surgery OK & that your kitty came home.

Mo, Is there anything that can be done to make sure the kids won't bother your new service dog when you get one? At least Strawberry is with family & you can still visit her & she's making the little ones happy. It still sucks that you couldn't keep her though. I've already expressed how I feel about those kids abusing her. It's one of my pet peeves (no pun intended).

I was absolutely exhausted from yesterday. Slept until after 5. Could barely drag myself out of bed to get food for Mom. I was so tired I was slurring my words & nearly falling over. She wanted me to help her pick out new curtains and I told her my brain wasn't working enough. I measured my window (bc we have the same size windows) and told her she'd need extra fabric and it would need to be larger (obviously) and told her what size curtains I'd bought for my window in the past. Took 3 panels to cover it (it's 2 windows together with mulling, so it comes out to about 72" wide).

I was too tired to even eat today and I'm not hungry. A few minutes ago, Fippy came to get me. I thought it meant Mom had gone to bed and he needed me to let him in to her room. Nope. Fippy wanted me to get up and go in to the living room with her. Turns out she was hungry again. LOL. My lower back and my right arm/shoulder hate me today. I just took some naproxyn and will probably get some more sleep.

I'm snuggled up with Predicate on my shoulder. It's his favorite spot.

Tomorrow I have to do some grocery shopping & pick up RX from the pharmacy.

We couldn't believe how big the fowl sale was tonight. Went for four hours. Rabbits went for $16 a piece, roosters for $11 each, fanicier ones more. I didn't see what the hens or quail or peacocks went for. A number of baby goats were auctioned, too. Was very busy at the food booth. Sold about 150 cheeseburgers and 50 hotdogs. All the pie sold quickly, and we also had drinks of all kinds, candy, and chips. I got there at 5 and stayed on orders and register till 830. Granddaughter got to run around with her school friends there, I saw a lively game of red rover going on. Little granddaughter got second today in the school spelling bee, got a cool trophy with a bee on it, and was over the moon about it when I picked her up from school.

Went out to eat with my daughter and parents tonight. We went to a little joint called the Princess Cafe in Iowa Falls, Iowa. It's a 1930s era building, with the world's longest marble topped soda fountain. The booths are made from African mahogony wood. And on Friday nights, they serve all you can eat, beer battered walleye fillets for $11. It's so good. When your plate is empty the ask how many more do you want? I had 3 big fillets and I'm miserable now but I'm happy!

The winds last night got really bad, lost power most of the night. I expected to see star light several times during the night, will inspect the damage after sun up. I plan to go the HD for some more gardening supplies and possibly a couple of flowering plants to add color for the wife's pleasure.

I have some work work to do today and I hope to make some progress on my water barrel rack.

Went to a yard sale first thing this morning. Got a brand new monopoly game. Memory foam travel pillow for my trip. All for $3.
Came home and fed dogs. Am babysitting big dog while DH and his friend are at a City auction.
I wrote 4 eBay drafts and am here now.
Next I will make grape jelly from some free juice I was gifted.
At some point will walk.

Got some work done on the custom duct work to enhance the air return for the air conditioning

The Harbor Freight brake did a decent job on 5he long bends.

20210501_160152.jpg

I had to get creative with the smaller bends.

That is the most complicated part I will have to make. The rest will all be rectangular sections.

Having fun.

Say Jim, thanks for the rain this morning. It was perfect! And much appreciated.
We went over the mountain to the nursery where people are mostly normal and don't expect you to garden via zoom. Got home and have so far planted a coral berry bush, 5 pots of flowers, and watered one side of the garden/yard. We got tomatoes, peppers, broc. & marigolds to go in with them. I also got a honeysuckle. The spot it will be going needs the crab grass pulled out so I decided to hop on here for a minute and drink a glass of water before tackling that. Oh yea, I got a tarragon plant also since mine didn't sprout. A fun morning. Hubby had to go into work this afternoon so it's just me-n-my garden :) Will get rototiller from the folks tomorrow or next day so we can get the veggies in the ground. I might get ambitious and till one section for broc. by hand (shovel.)
