Exhausted, sore all over but at least the bleeding stopped. I hate getting old, takes forever for a cut to seal. Ruined two pairs of jeans this week. Granted, I was debating tossing them in the rag box before I bled all over them. Now I have no choice. My arms and legs are cut everywhere.

Been clearing brush, vines and saw briars... saw briars are nasty things, hard as nails, make rose bushes seem like a comfy pillow.

Saw briars, a well deserved name... gonna have to toss my leather gloves too. They are ripped up pretty bad.

Hey @Peanut don't let a little blood make you toss a perfectly good pair of jeans, soak the blood stains with hydrogen peroxide, scrub, and rinse with cold water. You would be amazed what that can do to a blood stain.

Then again if you were looking for an excuse to get a new pair, just ignore this..

No Dave today, but he'll be finishing up tomorrow all the projects left. No doc appts today, either. So plans are to go to the post office, finish the cupboard painting so Dave can put the hardware on tomorrow. Maybe the pharmacy in the bigger town, and maybe feed, but both might wait a day or so. Bison night at the amish restaurant tonight, so no cooking for me. But lots of this and that around the farm.

busy today making dough for tomorrow and cooking 2 meals . Forgot to buy butter so I have to change my plan on what to bake . Can't bake any sweet stuff so it will just be breads
Don't have a lot of eggs either, it got cold out and the chickens are not happy or something
So this will not a great market, since we won't have a lot to sell. Oh well, last one
Internet keeps going off, but so far power is still on. We got one of the tanks I got in place in the barn ( a little room that we store water and some other stuff in. I do need to still get the hose attachment, so we don't wear out the plastic valve that opens and closes it. I put it on blocks so we can put a bucket under to fill up for the animals. It still has a tiny bit of oil in it ( saw the little drops on top of the water ) but it's not going to hurt them any. Better that than too much dish soap

But you could learn to knit, crochet,so you would always have socks.
Just get a sock loom and make them that way. You can also get sock forms for blocking knit socks and use them as patterns for sewn socks out of fleece or scraps.

Neighbor boy Levi had the day off of school, so he helped with morning chores. Dishwasher guy came by with the fixit part. Took Levi into town with me, went to the post office and the amish grocery, and we took the farm beater truck since I don't drive it often. He stayed for lunch...filled up and now is gone home. Have lots of this or that to do today.

Had a crappy birthday on Monday. Was sick all day and my brother was a jerk. Only 2 people remembered it was my birthday, which I'm used to, but being sick sucked. My brother had to be told it was my birthday but was still a jerk to me.

Next day I went to visit a friend and hang out for a bit and brought Mom along. His wife showed me her sims4 version of the house they want to buy. Mom held little Kelebrimbor.

Samsclub is completely out of the water we normally get so had to get some in smaller quantities from Walmart. Almost had a wreck on the way home bc some clown went through a stop sign to make a left turn when I was going straight and had right of way.

Feeling a little better but still tired.

Critters somehow knocked the flap off the pet door but I got it back on.

Roaches have been eating the boric acid tablets and it seems to have put a little dent in them but not enough. I'm going to use the powder and spray next.

Happy belated birthday from me also Zannej
And happy anniversary Ben and Princess , nice photo!

Just got done with everything, going to bed soon since I have to get up early to bake bread. It is supposed to FREEZE in the morning, already, what??? It's only October. We moved some plants indoors and covered some others. Gave the animals some extra hay ( they have grass left but not much) so they stay warm
Going to use my big buddy propane heater in the kitchen in the morning or my bread dough won't warm up. Husband just glued on some broken firebricks in the wood stove , plus I put stove paste on the top so I really don't want to make a fire in the morning yet. The bricks need to dry longer and the top will smoke first time we use it. Good thing we did get some firewood, but there are trees down all over the place from the storm, doubt there will be a shortage of wood

today was a better day....it tried to go sideways....but i refused to let things steal my joy and happiness....my day started at 3a.m. with a water leak in bathroom......a few other things happened too....i just said not today satan...kiss my rear you (blank) !!!

Badly stove up today, walking was difficult. Sinking posts and stringing wire was too much for me. Late this afternoon I walked over in the pasture to get the tractor which I’d left last night. Found I was comfortable in the seat. Since the bush hog was hooked up I ran it for an hour or so. Cut a few acres around the old barn so at least I got something accomplished today.

College football on the tv tonight. Got dinner now I’m gonna watch a game.

Well I guess this is as good a place to post a heya if any!
Been off social media and such for a bit, have been working away at the homestead -- finally got the permits for the house, quonset hut is done, chicken coop up and garden drawn out. This has been a much slower process than I thought.
My son joined the Navy and is away at boot camp just north of Chicago.
Been working like crazy, getting some medical articles published and some chapters in some book done.
But for today, I made flat bread pizza, my daughter is coming over, as well as some neighbors in our little townhouse complex and we are going to watch the football game tonight!
Hope everyone has a great night.

Welcome back, and thanks for the update. I can't imagine moving and making a place to live, just moving is testing my patience and endurance. My BEST wishes for your continued progress.
