My cousin came over to help me pull the bush hog blades and sharpen them. Instead of locking nuts they were secured with castle nuts and cotter pins, a royal pain to remove. So instead of trying to remove them I just lifted the bush hog with the fe loader and sharpened the blades in place.

Everything is wet from the rains so clearing brush can wait. Already got a shower this morning, don’t need another one from soggy brush. I watered the calf this morning also, I’ll feed him about dark. Since its a grey foggy day think I’ll stay inside and watch a few football games.

The chili came out pretty good, and hot. Even though it won't be at its best until tomorrow, I'm still going to eat a small bowl for lunch.
I'm still stove up again today so there isn't much that I can do outside. The wife keeps yelling at me to sit down. Sometimes she has to help me walk.

Went to the Christmassy type "fair" in our little town for an hr and it was pretty good. A number of amish ladies set up tables with crafts and food in an empty building, and there was some good stuff! Bought a bunch of fry pies from the best fry pie maker around (Amy), and just had one. Some soy candles, a gorgeous handmade cutting board, a crocheted dragon for little granddaughter that her friend was selling. Bumped into Levi and his dad doing some shopping there and caught up with his dad. The thrift store had all their Christmassy stuff out, but I did find a new looking rain coat ($3) for an extra. A black wool coat in good enough shape ($5), and a pair of shoes ($2). The amish discount grocery had all the Christmassy candies out in bulk...bought some homemade chocolate cherries, and peanut clusters. Jonathan apples were clearing out for $15 a bushel box. So I got another. Good to visit with some that I have seen in a while. Husband feeling poorly, so I'll stick close by and get things done here.
