Just to mess with his mind, ask him if he talked to himself as he flew it.. About 8 of 10 people do talk there selves through it.. And give you a ..how did you know?.. look when you ask.. I talked my way through first solo.. And a couple more first flights as upgrades to different plaines..

Sunny, calm, about 10F for a high today.. Out for a McDonalds coffee, just to get out of the house for a bit.. Seemed every store parking lot was very full, so never attempted to go anywhere..

Relaxing Saturday after what was an unusually busy Friday night late shift with the last trolley put inside woolies at 9:44pm unfortunately for a second fortnight in a row the contractor's Adelaide based accounting staff forgot to pay my wages on Friday night so I'll be chasing it up on Monday either with my employment consultant or site supervisor so they can get me paid for the 12 hours I clocked that fortnight thankfully I still have a healthy amount in my normal pay week account to get a couple of things on Monday morning

Whilst driving to Mount Gambier yesterday arvo a lil bit before 4pm traversing through Tarpeena noticed red/blue lights surely enough one of the local SAPOL highway patrol was doing breatho and waved me in needless to say it was a tad amusing i passed before being waved on as he pulled up another vehicle to get tested

Made it into town a tad after 4:00 and headed back to CSE Crosscom as the helical antenna i brought previous day didn't fit magnetic base luckily enough the techie who does a lot of my radio work was kind enough to swap it out for something similar and also did the swap so I wasn't charged for the new antenna

Working today! Going to clean my building first, then I'll go to my Thursday job!! I'll be off tomorrow! Fixing to feed the cats and Bear, then have some coffee by the fire! Got some laundry done already, stuff that I'm not hanging out, it's in the dryer. Not sure what I'll get into later, plenty to do!!

A conversation with a patient yesterday relaxed some of my Dad anxiety. She’s a charge nurse in the oncology department at the hospital he’ll be having his surgery at. She told me the surgeon we have the consult with on Friday is the absolute best with awesome patient outcomes. I know that past performance doesn’t inform future success but it did enable me to exhale some.

Today is a small food shop at a larger supermarket that carries things that Lidl doesn’t. This afternoon will be a fire in the wood stove and cooking Thanksgiving dinner.

I got Atomics and both Hubby’s are Voklis. He uses powder skis and slalom skis.

At 5:30am my bladder whispered "Hey, I know you want to sleep in, but I have other plans for you". From the can, to the counter, to the coffee pot, to the chair. Checked out a few online stores, updated my grocery order, checked my social media, and arrived here just in time for a second cup of caffeine.

No rush today, but I do need to get husband's med stuff done in a few minutes, and get a fire going again.
Let the dog out for his pottying, and went to let him back in....carrying a frozen or petrified guinea leg, hoping it was an old one he found somewhere, but it sure is freezing out right now. Needing to take daughter and the boyfriend to the airport late afternoon, and they'll be going back to Tucson. We had a rip roaring game of Apples to Apples last night. Daughter went up to the back bedroom afterwards and disinfected the room I had shut up till company left. Now all I need to do is buy a new bedspread, got the laundry started that was up there, but threw the bedspread out. Sweet girl, didn't have to do that, but she worked at a mortuary for awhile and not much bugs here. Not sure what other plans today yet, will see if husband is up to doing something with them before they have to leave.

When I opened the radio this was playing it did put a smile on my face
and I did dance in front of DaneGirl and she was wagging her tail
so I gave her a big hug and a big kiss on her forehead

Today, I returned to Lowes to return the items I brought yesterday to fix the kitchen sink. My plumber friend told me it was under the house, so he and I will fix it when we warm up next week. Since it is cold, I will wait and return the items to Lowes this afternoon. My daughter will start her drive back to Washington, DC, this afternoon. We enjoyed her company and memories.

Already picked up trash by road at Church and went for a haircut.
Next will walk dogs and maybe myself.
Label ebay folders.
Put away sweet potato chips that I made, yesterday.
Maybe a pedicure tonight.

Just did put snow off the car

Did put garbage at the road in the bin

Gave some love, hugs, kisses to my cats
and of course fresh water and food

Put some seeds for wild birds

Hungry but dont know what to cook and eat yet for dinner

Woke up way to early..ended up going back to sleep. It really screws up my schedule tho having to shift over to days and I'm wide awake in the middle of the might for a few hours..so frustrating.

The stars were beautiful tho..

Had a great day yesterday..
Had extra eggs to give to friends..
Got caught up with neighbor for a few..
Roasted a turkey..to hot n fast..it was dry..gah..
So I just made turkey dog food..they love it
Got my lunches made for the week..leftovers friends n neighbors sent home with me..
Had stovie going all cozy..got the tin can a tad too warm ..pushing 75 so I had to open the door often to cool back down to 68..
Cleaned n organized a bit, worked on my rug..watched gems tv..my friend came over to watch the jewelry too..she want her hubbies to get her a ruby..
I want a few gems but priorities first..
Crashed pretty early up at 2 am..crashed again at 5..
Today..dog food done, dog walk, finish rug ..not sure what I'll feel like next..
It's beautiful out tho..cold..but perdy..

Today was a bit traumatic; I let the 6 month old kittens out of the window (back of the house) the dogs were fenced in on the other side. When I called them back because I was going out, the black one, Pucá was missing, and the other was up a tree. I found Puca dead in Trips kennel, so she must have wandered around, or he jumped out and grabbed her. I never heard a thing.
As he's already killed hens twice, I can't trust him - I've other animals to consider- and so took him to be put down. I bawled, of course. Now I have my daughter, Pucás owner, coming home for the weekend to vote, and I'll have to tell her. She'll get over it of course, but it puts a cloud over everyone.

What a bummer .. what kind of dog was Trip?
I had a dog that had a pretty strong prey drive..it was very challenging to deal with and a constant worry she would hurt the cat.
Now that I have a few barn cats plus all the birds..I can't have a dog that exhibits that kind of behavior..it takes alot of time and training and being present as it happens to try to correct . I just don't have the time or energy and you can never really trust them..
Sucks tho..heartbreaking none the less..

Had to get a big stick and break up a fight between the neighbor bull and Buddy! They tore up the electric fence so I'm going out to fix it! BOYS!! Feeding critters soon, then drinking a few beers....been a rough day!!

Been trying to troubleshoot the solar lights at the coop. Everything checks out fine, but the inverter gets a fault and shuts down every couple of days. I replaced the charge controller and changed inverters 3 times. The battery is new also. We have 2 LED lights in the coop drawing about 23 watts each, and only on maybe 10 minutes per day. I sent an email to the manufacturer explaining what's wrong and what I've done so far. We'll see if they ever respond.

we all had a big breakfast together and then daughter left to drive back home with grandbaby. She got home ok. It's about a 5 and a half hour trip or so.
it was very cold out today, just below freezing all day and windy so it felt worse. We only put the animals out for a few hours and then even the sheep stood at the gate and looked cold, so they all went back in. The barn is of course not heated ( we are not in Alaska after all) but better than outside. And it is supposed to be even colder this entire week. Yuck
So far nobody got sick, so thats good

oh , it was cold enough here this morning to run both wood stoves to warm the freezing house up. Grandbaby was wearing her new winter ski pants and jacket indoors until it warmed up

wowzers, @snappy1 you look great!! I like your glasses too. I cut my own bangs recently, stylists hate it when we cut our own hair. Ha. I haven't worn glasses in a long time, always contact lenses. Well, I got glasses recently and I don't like it, but needed to go ahead and get something in case of whatever. I still wear the contacts more. I even got bifocals on the one pair but find it quite annoying. Do you have transitions lenses? One contact is for close and one for distance. I know it sounds awful but I had no problem with it.
Got the front porch mostly cleaned up but still not Christmassy out there.
