@RJ2019 Going to toss you out an option. My wife (a vet) gets the dogs collars with their name and a phone number stitched in the collar.
Can lose a tag, can lose a collar. But it gives you a clue.
If you can’t find cheaper try Orvis.
I had one, long ago on a different dog. The closure on it was the cheap plastic snap kind and it broke pretty fast. Never again. You can always take a Sharpie and write the dog's name and your number on a collar, which I have also done before

Got all my small tools cleaned, oiled and sorted into a new plastic box. For the first time in years they are all in one box. Happy about that. Ordered a few cold chisels and a new set of small files today. Ordered dad new telephones also. The handsets light up when they ring, have extra large buttons and a screen to help with vision issues.

@RJ2019 I have large g. sheppards that are impossible to find collars for. There's always someone doing leather work on etsy, some have dog collars. You can order any length with metal plates attached with contact info. The prices are reasonable. Think I paid $30 for the last one I got. He wore it for years, never wore out.

Here's the last one, can sort of see it. This dog weighed about 105lbs

That's a good idea! I like it. That might happen in the future. I just needed to get him another collar today because I can't have a massive dog like him running around with no collar and no way to grab him if I need to.

The sheppard I have now is a lot smaller , 30lb lighter. The biggest collar at Tsc fit him. It's reflective which I like. Lots of deer hunters come out here from the city and shoot at anything that moves. (idiots, city people should stay in the city)

He's coming up on 4yrs now and its on the last hole. If he gains anymore weight I'll have get him a leather one from etsy.

Oh yep he is. He is a little terror, and I put the collar on him before we do the outside chores, and I swear I see him roll his eyes. We can hold up anything that looks like a remote control and he behaves. Even the flip phone. Mostly I use it as a "call button". He does get the "vibrate" tho when he's chasing cats or guineas.

Dogs are smart. You have to trick him by acting like you are removing that training collar, but leave it on. You then rotate collars of similar types, so he never knows what collar he has on.

Our friend's have that same collar. That will tell me to watch how obedient the dog is when they put the collar on him. Once it comes off, he becomes a lil' turd. When I was training police dogs, sometimes all it takes is a "slight of hand" so the dog never turns off his attention.

A bum coughed in face, I knew I would be sick as soon as it happened.
I got in the car with one, I was sick in hours!

Today I'm trying to back up some files on a 5TB Seagate. it does NOT like video files except one at a time, and I have 5000+ videos to back up!

Tonight I tried out my new cookware, or more like used. An enameled cast iron grill pan. $12 from craigslist seller. Couldn't go wrong, right? I researched it first, they don't get a lot of love. Should have put more stock in the comments from seasoned cooks.

I 'tried' grilling some bratwursts, but they weren't cooking well. Got nice grill lines from the peaks on the frying pan but weren't cooking through. So.... why not slice 'em? What a mess. Turned into mashed-up meat stuck together with pieces of the brat skin. Still not giving up.... as the dog is giving me a WTF look.... the mash grilled ok, but then I starting finding little pieces burnt meat in the valleys between the ridges. I figure I'll live it. Got out my meat thermometer, because I am a professional. Stuck the point into a morsel of meat. Needle starts raising, almost getting to where the numbers start. Piled up some meat for a better reading, temp rises a bit more. I'm getting somewhere! But what am I gonna do with this mash? Add scrambled eggs. That'll be good! Mixed it all together, stuck the meat thermometer in it for a reading of 170... it's chow time!

Anyone want a nice enameled cast iron grill pan?

It's gonna take some time to get over this one. :(

BTW: @Peanut I bookmarked your link for my cooking education. Time to study.

Nope, I can't stand my grill pan either! The only reason I still have it is because one of the kids got it for me and he's all proud of it 😏

I had something like that in my small George Foreman.
Warm it up and boil it out, scrub it gently with baking soda, and boil it again. Then heat it up, coat it in cooking spray, and let it cool naturally. Depending on how much you use it, this might be a monthly thing.

Regular Tuesday job, but not so regular!! Hubby will be coming by and we are rearranging some furniture for this couple. They are getting some new lift recliners and want to make the house more "old age friendly" ( in her words, lol)! They have really nice, good quality furniture, which means really heavy 🙁! She has two sons, one has a computer job and can only lift his coffee cup. The other was smart enough to get out of the whole situation, lol! So we will make some extra money today 😃!!

Going to see Dad before his surgery to install the PEG feeding tube. If all goes well we should be bringing him home in a day or two. Yesterday, he threatened to get dressed and scurry out of the hospital. Don't know how he planned on getting home.

After surgery, brother and I will be "attacking the house". He's driving me nuts.

It's my last day of work out in the desert. We've got a lot to do today and I'm not thrilled about that. Usually the last day is set up to be a lighter day because people aren't as focused on work.

After work I'm headed to the Airport Best Western in Ontario. Hopefully I-10 isn't too jacked up and I can make good time. I fly out of Ontario International at 0645 tomorrow and should be home in my driveway about 1600...

Another tip.. The one tool I use more than any other in my kitchen... an IR thermometer. $25 at the local autoparts store. It gives me instant read out of the actual temp of pots, pans, oil, meat... I literally use it every time I cook. My first one wore out after 4 years, on my second one now.

Trip to town in a bit....
