I'm hearing there are still school districts around here closed due to illness (flu), and many nursing homes are on lockdown! Are your area schools back open @Amish Heart ??
They didn't close where little granddaughter goes. And they really should have. Last Wednesday night she was feeling bad, a bit bad Thursday morning, so I kept her home. Then the bus driver called me and said 80 kids were out sick (half the middle school), also a ton out of the elementary and high school. So I told her she had to stay home Friday, too, even tho she was fine. She texted a friend from band last night, and his mom sent him to school on Friday and he got sick yesterday, so now he's home. Glad I didn't send her, but hope it's cleared out today. She normally stays pretty healthy, but since going to school in this other town, I worry because they don't do outside time and the food is all ultra processed. It's just not healthy all day like that. But our grade school in our town closed down last year. I did hear that other districts in Kansas did close down.

We keep adding solar, and our electricity consumption went way down, but the bill remains the sam
Well, that's not right!

Slept late this morning as I was awake every our until 3 this morning. I'm guessing MSG in what I ate yesterday for lunch.
Will make cheesecake crust in a few minutes.
Then walk.
Come home and make and bake cheesecake.
Do laundry.
Pick up my bag from a friend. Left it in her van yesterday.

It is, and they give me money! 😉
Come on over Pearl, I could do with you :) you'll get your own room, and I'll cook for you. The exchange rate is almost equal too

Its bloody mental here, with people coming and going and me trying to get everything back to normal after the storm. Got back from the family event yesterday, I'm now a week behind my studies, other adult son received a autism diagnosis, haven't had time it discuss it yet but there is a lot to consider going forward. American relations here for another week. Did the shopping this morning, now I'm confident the power is staying on; supermarket working flat out to refill shelves but a good bit missing. Went to the cheapest one, bought 4 days milk, bread and veg, and a few other things for the whole week, like cheese/yogurts etc. But no meat- €120 it cost- that used to be my whole weeks shopping! On the good side, sold an extra piece of furniture we had, and got all the washing done. Watching all that's going on in the world, and expecting snow/ storms next week.

Just sitting here watching it snow. I'll go out in a few and start shoveling the steps and snowblowing our pathways. Storm warnings have been posted for a couple more feet of snow today and tomorrow. With more snow continuing through Friday. I'm not even going to try clearing our road until this storm is over. It takes time, but the big snowblower can eat through several feet of snow. I might regret this, but I decided not to put the tracks on the side by side, just chains instead.

I don't know, sounds a little wild over there right now! I have a better idea!! I'll come, but we will take off on a gal's week vacation instead!! I bet we'd have a lot of fun!!😉

Ok, laundry is done! Plus I moved my prescription to the pharmacy in the other town so we can avoid at least some of the driving.
Other good thing, I started up my Yukon that has been sitting since December and much to my surprise it started right up. Drove it down the mountain and back up.
It feels nice to be a non dirty house. It was getting really bad.
Things are slowly getting back to some sort of normal after the deep freeze just in time for the next disaster
