Kesari, it is extremely rare for me to watch a foreign language film. It is based on a battle of 21 Sikhs against 10,000 moslems. The Battle of Saragarhi in 1897.

Watched 'RIDE THE WILD SURF' yesterday, saw it on my streaming stick and said, "Hell, yeah!" Made in 1964, when I was 2 years old, lol. I'm hoping that since I selected the film, the streaming stick will kick out 'BIG WEDNESDAY'---a great surf flick directed by John Milius. We shall see... streaming sticks will do that, it's one aspect of "tracking" that I don't mind, as it dredges up old films I haven't seen in awhile. I just watched 'RIDING GIANTS' a few weeks ago, that's probably why 'RIDE THE WILD SURF' appeared on the list of available movies. I don't really give a $h!t if some alphabet agency queer knows I like surf movies, lol... 😒

Edit: Just watched 'VON RICHTHOFEN AND BROWN' (1971), not a bad flick if ya like WWI aerial dogfights, lol. When I was a kid, I built a model of the Fokker Triplane---the aircraft was very maneuverable, and von Richthofen shot down 19 planes with it, the last 19 planes out of a whopping 80 confirmed "kills!" The 'Red Baron' is credited with being the best flying ace of WWI, and some folks now believe that it was NOT the Canadian pilot Brown who shot him down, but a gunner in an antiaircraft unit. Von Richthofen died of a single .303 round to the chest, but his face was all torn up in the crash when his plane hit the ground. A man of honor, Mannfred von Richthofen, and an extremely skilled pilot. 😬

I am about done with the videos on Amazon Prime, started watching several movies and turned them off very shortly, either boring , or weird, or both : Kill Bill (huh?) , Substitute ( about some ex marine becoming a teacher and going to some ghetto trash school in Miami) watched 10 minutes, made me want to go blow up the school...lol, some Korean gangster movie that was just plain boring, and a Bollywood movie I have seen before but didn't like enough to watch again
Starting to think Netflix has better stuff

Last night i started watching 'the hobbit -unexpected journey'. Good movie.

Earlier tonight i saw a Bogie and Bacall film, To have and have not. Then saw Dark Winds, strange show but keeps me guessing. Nothing in the plot has been predictable so far.

Later i finished 'unexpected journey' and started the 2nd film in the series. Just saw the escape down the river from the wood elves... always funny.

I took it easy today and partied a bit, then watched a cool skateboarding video called 'DUETS'---Video #30 from Transworld Skateboarding. The tricks the riders were pulling were insane, so technical compared to what my friends and I did back in the day! I don't care what anybody thinks, these skaters are athletes, some of 'em could even be circus performers! Cool video, very enjoyable, and they kept it real by adding wipeout scenes... some of those hurt just to watch, lol. Good thing those youngsters are taking the abuse, but boy, some of the falls made me flinch and brought back memories of bad falls I took in the past. Just the price we paid for having so much fun, I reckon... still, at my age, I'm perfectly happy to watch other riders take the big spills, lol. 😬

P.S. After the skate video, I watched 'PALE RIDER' with Clint Eastwood, I like the part where Stockburn says, "YOU!!!" Just before he gets shot, lol... meh, he had it comin'. Great movie, and 'Jaws' (Richard Kiel) was funny too!

I liked the Hobbit flicks, when they're available on my streaming stick I'll watch 'em again... might even check out the DVDs from the library, I know the library has all of 'em.

I love the part in the goblin tunnels when the dwarfs and gandolf are fighting their way out. (while bilbo was finding the ring)

I'd have liked to see it being filmed, just to see how it was all put together.

My office (r&d catscans) used to be across the street from george lucas's Industrial light and Magic in south san francisco. Up the street was Diasonics, they developed the mri in the US. People from all 3 companies would be out at the 9:30 food truck (great breakfast burritos). I'd go out sometimes when I wasn't even hungry... went just to hear all the shop talk. There were some amazing conversations out at the truck!!! It was heaven for r&d geeks!!! 😁 I always liked talking to the movie guys...

Every winter we watch The Hobbit trilogy, then the Lord of the Rings trilogy. Very interesting every year!!

Tonight I watched the first episode of the new series... The Walking Dead: Darryl Dixon

An enjoyable show all in all, very well done of course. The show was a little predictable in spots. After 10yrs how many new ways can you kill a zombie? But there were enough new concepts to make it interesting.

The new plot... Darryl wakes up in the surf, half drowned on a beach, boat sinking in background. Once composed he sets out... street signs all in french... meets bad people, kills one, gets shot.

Then ends up in a convent of real french nuns. There's a boy, supposed to be some kind of 'hope' for the people. By the end Darryl leaves the convent full of newly dead nuns and some more bad guys. Sets off with a nun and the kid to????

Several years ago someone told me that the book was really good. I think I bought it, but never read it. I'm curious how you liked the movie.

Watched it several years ago. For about the last 4 years I've been keeping an eye out for it on Prime. It finally showed up. So, I knew I liked it before I watched it this time. Sean Connery, and a few other names you'll recognize.
P.S. I don't list things that I wouldn't give 4 stars or higher.

"Zulu". Jan. 1869 battle between around 4,000 Zulu and over 100 British. I'm a sucker for a story based on a real situation.
