"OTA"...!!!

I recently finished the Longmire series and it seems that was the end of it.
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1836037/

I am looking for ideas of other movies or series to watch.
We stream everything we watch.

Right now it is Black List (or is it Blacklist ?) There are some real connections to what is going on on that show to things that are going on here and now. Interesting.

I liked that show and binged through it a couple years ago. Probably need to go back and see if I missed the last season or two.

Months ago I saw a few episodes of a new show on the Fx channel, "The Old Man'. Very good show, Jeff Bridges, John Lithgow. It's modern events are rooted in the 80's Afgan war. A child of an important chieftain, stolen by her mother, escaped to the US with the help of cia spooks. One a killer (bridges) in love with the mother.

Fast forward, kid grew up to be a fbi agent. Abducted by her real father.... blah, blah... now back in afganistan to be rescued... blah, blah.

The show is written very well, excellent camera work. Bridges as 'the old man' is excellent casting. Lithgow was the other spook, now fbi chief and boss of the daughter.

Season 2 started tonight...

By the way, there is a lithium mine in afgan the US wants to clandestinely control in the middle of this mess. Along with their secret taliban friends. Guess which Chieftain controls the land and the mine...

We liked Old Man, too. Looking forward to season 2
We watched Defiance last night, wow...what a powerful movie!

found an interesting show on Netflix, Outlast, it's some survival reality show in Alaska. I would not want to do that one. If I was younger I would rather do the original Survivor show. At least they had some rice most of the time. Don't think I could eat all that nasty shellfish, even if I was starving.

But it was fun to watch

The wife and I...our usual plan...an action packed violent movie for me...followed by a touching romance for her.

I like Jason Statham movies, and my wife generally agrees, so I picked "Parker." Not his best. But not bad. There are better Statham movies, but this one is not bad. Plus, it has Jennifer Lopez. She's on my list...just like my wife has her list, if you know what I mean.

Finished the night with a total Hallmark movie: The Magic of Lemon Drops. Goofy premise, but honestly, I thought it was great. Probably losing my man card...but I'm old enough to not worry about what other people think, and that is awesome. :p Great movie...I recommend it, because apparently I'm a total softie.

Cheers

It was good back in the day. Today? Watching again… it’s still good, maybe better looking back on the past as the good old days.

I went into that bar once and had a drink, just to be able to say I did it.

I saw Parker recently, agree, not his best. Funny, sometimes I'll play a few songs on my guitar during a so-so move. It drowned out some of the dialog, leaving the action in this case. Jello's not a bad looker, better without her speaking. 🤣

Watched some college football tonight. Watching boxing now along with a gold mining, mine rescue show.

This weekend is a "Forged in Fire" marathon :)

New season of Expedition Unknown started last week. Tonight was part 2 on the city of Petra in the Jordanian desert. They found a tomb directly in front of the carved building known as the Treasury, literally 20ft in front of the door. The same one from the Indiana Jones movie long ago.

Lots of new technology being used, interesting if you're a geek like me. Including a new 3d xray that allows them to read through layers of burned scrolls from 1600yrs ago. Actually read the words written on what is now carbon. Lots of important people came to see the work including the us ambassador to jordan.

I enjoy watching that show

Watching the Columbia river rodeo from Yakima on the cowboy channel. And... been working on a old song tonight on Utub. Folsom Prison Blues played by Tommy Emmanuel, Guthrie Tapp, Bryan Sutton, Pat Bergeson and Richard Smith, great guitar players with very different styles. Them boys can pick!!! A lot of fun to play along with!!!

Binge-watched the three Lord of the Rings movies. It had been a looong time since I watched them and there were many parts I'd forgotten. Been watching some how-to videos and stuff from Perkins Builder Brothers, HomeRenovision DIY (Jeff Thorman), and Stud Pack (Paul Selleck). I had to pause and take naps though.
