Wife and kids wanted Popeyes chicken, only get it a few times a year. At least we didnt have to cook. I could do without it. My weakness is a good pizza pie
Popeyes chicken with red beans and rice is one of my favorite things in life! Of course I have a couple clogged arteries in my heart, so don't use my judgement.... I really do love their food though, just once a month or so as a treat now.

We are eating red kidney beans ( onions, garlic, parsley, bell peppers, bayleaf, salt and pepper, with pickled pork and hot smoked sausage that was slow cooked for several hours . Over white long grain rice, with buttered french bread. And of course with Tobasco hot sauce added to prefrence.

I had the Chinese version of jambalaya - fried rice. The wife was out shopping and it was getting late so I decided to whip up something with whatever I could find. I cut up some venison sausage, chopped up an onion, got out a frozen bag of mixed veggies and just basically threw a bunch of stuff together in the pan and sautéd it, added some thick soy sauce and Louisiana Hot Sauce to spice it up and added steamed rice.
