I try to keep our pit healthy, but she really loves people food, so I give in. I just don't give her much.
On the dinner thing, I just finished eating. I grilled two sirloin steaks, two pork chops, baked potatoes, home canned green beans, corn and sweet corn bread. Not only am I stuffed, but have a plate for lunch tomorrow ready to go. I'm pretty content with the world right now.

I had a pretty productive night. I had started making venesion jerky this morning, and just bagged 4 zip locks of it. A couple pieces didn't make it to the fridge because it smelled so good. I also peeled apples and made two apple pies. We're having a potluck at work tomorrow so I decided dessert was in order. Nothing makes the house smell better than fresh apple pie. For dinner I had left over 3 meat pizza, which I added olives, ham, onions, green pepper and more mozzarella before re heating in the oven. It really is a wonder that I'm not three hundred lbs. :).

Tonight, we're just going to bread some pork chops, and make some scalloped potatoes to go with.
Tomorrow, we'll be gaming with friends, so we'll likely just get some pizza for dinner, but in the morning, I'll be making eggs, bacon, and pancakes for everyone to wake up to....

Mutton Chops, salad with blue cheese sause.

Almost forgot the pictures. At least I feel less guilty about eating sweets when there fruit filled. There's something healthy in there.

Two well matured T-bones, marinated with some lemon juice and our favaroute spices for about 5 hours.

Vanaand gaan ons BRAAI.
Tonight we are going to BRAAI. (No its not BBQ, but the closest you will get to it. [emoji12] )

I know right? I've never been much of a "foodie" as far as taking pics of food, but I do get that, hehe.

Just doing tacos tonight. Ground beef, and some of our favorite taco seasonings (we combine the Spicy Old El Paso seasoning packet with the mild sauce kind they are selling these days (I think Taco Bell brand), and add some green chiles to it and some minced onion. Very savory.

We then always have hard shells and soft tortillas (flour), as some like crunchy, some soft, along with shredded taco cheese, sour cream, chopped onions, and diced tomatoes. (I usually make more of a burrito or two). Some chips and homemade salsa on the side.

I just got lazy and brought home captain d's. It wasn't great but is ok, and easy. I have been eating lots of fresh salads lately. I'm picking spinache, radishes, onions and beets daily right now. I also bought a bunch of seeds today and will start planting for future meals this weekend!

I love leftovers! Not only do I feel good about not wasting food, but I don't have to cook again. :)

me to..and just to make things nicer and better.i still have beef patties and mac n cheese for another meal or 2.... :p

We're just crocking some corned beef and cabbage for tonight, so it'll be ready when we get home. We spice it up a bit, and also add some potatoes for good measure. I don't eat the cabbage myself, but everyone else does.

I'm working on getting rid of my winter fat, so for dinner is a some sliced smoked chicken, cottage cheese (which really isn't cheese) and yogurt(yuk). I've lost 35 pounds since I retired last April and have about 10 more to go.

I'm going to have to get serious one of these days about loosing weight. I guess this is part of my prepping, these 30 lbs are my emergency reserves! :)

i love cooked cabbage..grew up on it.among other great foods :D
Your right, you can mix just about anything with cabbage. Wonderful stuff! I fry hamburger, onions and shredded cabbage, mix in Ramon noodles, soy sauce and you have homemade beef lomaine, yum.

Tonight, we're doing pierogies (pan fry em with some sauteed onions), and my daughter is trying her hand at borscht (I'm not into that, but they like it). There's a Ukrainian deli we get the pierogies from. The restaurant has this one dish, kind of a combo of like 5 things, that my wife calls "her childhood on a plate".

tonight for us,will be.boneless pork-chops.black-eye peas,and mashed potatoes..and the pork-chops are already in the oven :D
